We have used Blue Lake Vet for several years now. My family and I are dealing with a tragedy which has left us with my bothers dog. I called Blue Lake to get him in and they refused to help. They first told me that because I was not the owner I couldn’t be helped. I explained that my brother is on life support so getting his consent to treat the dog was not possible. They had the manger call us back who then told us that due to not having the ability to get the shot records we were not welcome to be treated there. I am absolutely disgusted with the treatment from Blue Lake. I will never take another animal there and I will be sure that I let anyone know who takes their pet. The lack on understanding, kindness and disrespect for human tragedy is appalling.

I would give a zero star if I could. I was a couple minutes late for our appointment due to traffic and by the time I got my cat in the car, you know life stuff. No decent grace period, but I understand that. Life happens but the woman at the front desk was incredibly rude and disrespectful to me for no reason. I was about to cry from missing my appointment. While I was asking questions & trying to figure out my next step she was utterly rude and harsh. When I’m on the verge of tears she was rude and her tone was aggressive and disrespectful. Who speaks to their customers like that?!? zero empathy for people and their pets. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never go back there again. She needs to learn to be more respectful and kind. What a disgrace! I’m changing vet after today.

Absolutely amazing veterinary care!! Our dog Milo got caught in some barbed wire on a hike and tore his front leg up. The team was able to quickly fit us in that day, got him stitched up and did such an incredible job. His wound healed up perfectly! We were so appreciative of the entire staff’s flexibility in squeezing us in unexpectedly, the incredible care Milo received, and the skill of the vets here. Anyone who wants the best care for their pets should keep Blue Lake in mind. We are so grateful!

After having been to every other vet in town, each for multiple years I am SO happy to have found Blue Lake Animal Center. Their patience and care they take with pets is so thorough, sincere and loving. I always felt like the other vets in town didn't *really* care. Not rushed to get you in during emergencies, not very clean, friendly, didn't warm your dog up to them the list goes on. Blue lake is the opposite. They don't rush you or your pet. They answer your questions with research studied based advice and honest opinion. I cannot thank them enough for how much they have done for me and my dog. My dog also recently had puppies! Our pre and post check ups were amazing, informative and perfect. I am so happy so have moved to this Vet and will always recommend everyone to them. THANK YOU BLUE LAKE AND DR. POWELL!

These people are so compassionate and helped me with my German Shepherds tumor on her tail. They worked with me on cost and always was so accommodating. I’ve never felt so welcomed and thank you for saving Heidis tail. You guys are the best!

If you want your dog to be treated like royalty, then you’ve found your next Vet. Since the first time my puppy Nova visited here, they’ve been remarkable. From the receptionist’s kindness on the phone to the pre-vet (nurse) allowing Nova to lick around the entire inside of their own mouths.

Oh, almost forgot about the litany of treats given to your dog. But they taught me how to cut my dogs nails pain-free and somehow made Nova enjoy the experience today!

Recently, our Maltese Fred was diagnosed with IMHA, immune-mediated hemolytic anemia, that requires frequent blood test monitoring. While staying at our home here in South Lake, we visited Blue Lake Animal Care Center for a blood test check. We were extremely impressed with the excellent level of care we received from Karla at the front desk, Rachel who took our information and checked Fred’s vitals, and finally Dr. Neil Powell, whose knowledge of Fred’s disease IMHA gave us a tremendous sense of relief knowing we had come to the right animal clinic. Dr. Powell gave us a detailed explanation of the blood test results as well as information about the disease and possible next steps; in addition, he gave us hope about Fred’s condition. When we walked out, we felt so relieved and confident that our treatment plan was on target. We still have a long journey to walk with Fred, but our love for him will guide us along that path.
