I was supposed to get my deposit a few days ago. No funds in my account whatsoever. I had called around MULTIPLE phone numbers, and would get sent back in circles, and be told to dial 211, but then sends me to a recording to go online. When I finally got ahold of someone live, they said my case for renewal had not even been updated or processed, despite being on file since May. This is seriously a problem. I need to have food stamps to survive. I am unemployed and trying to fight for Disability, and it is making life increasingly harder. Please. There needs to be someone who is competent handling these cases. I understand the work load is a lot, but this does not need to be so aggravating to get a deposit into an already existing account, to the people that are starving because they can’t work like myself.
I am sickened by how our country handles its people. Please, help.

First of all they never answer the phone so I had to take off a drive there. When I got there the older women with very short hair didn’t seem like shes interested in helping me from the get go. I ask them I needed a case worker and after she took my information and said she was going to speak to who ever she said she was going to speak too. She comes back telling me oh you can’t be seen just wait till you hear back from HHS which I’ve already been waiting and it has been over 3months. She tells me it takes 130 days to hear back. I’ve never heard of that. I know it takes 30-45 business days and recently I have been told it takes 60 days max because they are understaffed, but 130 days no way. They lazy and didn’t even bother to go through my case to begin with even tho I went early and there was no line and only 4 people sitting. I left and drove to the Castroville location and I was able to see a case worker with no problem even with it being a busy.

It was fine , they need more CS windows to be open . It was hot inside, so that made the wait time worse . But employees were nice .

It took me over 3 visits to give this review, but I had to. The 3 times there has been a long line and where is everyone? No workers to be seen and when you think they are coming to help, the just walk by like nothing. They never, ever answer the phone and they don't have an answer to anything you ask. With the exception of this one lady, everyone else is rude af. It's a completely waste of time coming here.

Visited this office for the first time. 12/18/23
It’s normal to wait in line for long periods of time at these places so I didn’t mind. What I did mind was how rude the security guard was. What’s more, is that he was watching videos on his phone that were screaming profanities very loudly in front of the children that are also in this building. Not a very nice man and very unprofessional

Case managers don’t interview the person who actually has foodstamps. They add people to your account WITHOUT any actual reason. They lie and do everything in their “power” to ruin peoples lives and make their situation harder than it already is. These people deserve to burn in hell.

First time here and such a positive experience.
Estella was so helpful with the information I needed. Give that woman a raise!
