We have been taking Lola here for a little over 41/2 years, since we moved to Sacramento. Dr. Pate and Dr. Amend are excellent vets. Lola is almost 15 years old and they have been very good at managing her pain and her cancer. They love her and it shows. Ashley is vet tech, also excellent and kind. The front office staff is very good. It is a busy place and you don't see them stressing out. Check it out!

Huge thanks for being able to see my little companion Blaze on short notice. He has been suffering with elevated liver enzymes and after several visits to the ER and no real solution over the past few years, Dr. Bennett took us under his care and was very transparent in explaining the situation and offering some guidance. The customer service is really awesome. The staff and technicians are genuinely caring. And this is not a corporately owned business which is a big plus in my experience. This was my first appointment for a Wellness Check, since I recently rescued my Doberman. Everyone was really helpful and with my hectic work schedule, I was grateful for Allison who accommodated my request for a Saturday appointment that same week. Her helpful attitude continued upon my arrival, and she went above and beyond to make my first visit a positive experience. Amber was also extremely helpful as she assisted after we were directed to an exam room. The positive environment was only perpetuated by Dr. Bennett, who was very kind and knowledgeable. I felt compelled to share that I am very thankful to have discovered Natomas Veterinary Hospital and also relieved to have their services available for my Doberman on a Saturday. This is a 5 star practice. I established care for my dog at another animal hospital but they do not have the depth (number of providers, limited hours) as Natomas. Being open Saturdays, being able to see you for urgent issues timely are all things to take into consideration when choosing a practice. Urgent issues just don't use clocks or know the day of the week and we owe it to our animals to do everything to keep them from suffering. While I love my regular doctor I find myself using them for urgent issues (even though they are actually just a regular practice) because they prioritize patients, have the depth and expanded hours AND offer a beautiful office, great staff, and reasonable prices.

It was an unfortunate reason that we stumbled upon Natomas Veterinary Hospital, but couldn’t be happier with the care and guidance we received from Dr. Pate. Our pup suffered a seizure for the first time and immediately searched for an emergency vet. Although, not an emergency clinic, they do offer emergency appointments and that’s all we truly needed during our time of panic. Dr. Pate was so attentive to all of our questions and concerns, which compared to our default veterinarian was a breath of fresh air. First impressions are everything and they have gained a new client out of us based on how great our visit went despite the circumstance. Absolutely recommend!

Upon my 3rd visit for my kitten, the one I purchased the $400 kitten package for, we weren't greeted at entry. Okay that is what it is, I told them my pets name and the time, they were rude about us being 10 minutes early despite that being in the confirmation email. We watched not 2, not 3 but 4 animals that arrive after us get pulled back. After 30 minutes without an apology or we will get to you soon we decided to leave as my cat was getting antsy sitting in the carrier. When I tell you they bombard you with calls it's no joke but no one could be bothered to say anything to me while we were there other than we are 10 minutes early.

It's a bummer seeing others' good experiences at Natomas Veterinary when my experience has not been good mostly due to the administration. They have made multiple errors on my cat's record/profile, mixing them up with my partner's cat. It took multiple times to correct the information. My cat needs dental surgery and while I had a positive experience with Dr. Lin and I want to continue taking my cat to see Dr. Lin, I do not trust the administration. If they're making errors on simple records management, I can't imagine the potential errors for the surgery, bloodwork, medications, etc. Maybe when their records management improves (more training and/or better software), I would consider returning in the future for checkups.
