I have been taking our pets here for years. I love all of the Dr's there. The front and back staff are incredible. Everyone there is focused on making our dogs comfortable and not afraid. And the price is right!!

Super nice friendly staff. Identified our dog's issues and presented a breakdown of varying services and treatments along with their prices that seemed very reasonable to me. I definitely recommend.

I have been to La Mesa Pet Hospital for four years. I Met Dr Ezpinosa for the first time at a recent appt. for my dog. He was warm welcoming kind and reassuring. I liked him very much.
The Pet Hospital of La Mesa will continue to be my choice.

We have been taking our cats to The pet Hospital of La Mesa for over 10 years. For the last approx. 4 years Dr. Leto has been caring for our cats. She is the greatest!!!!! Honest, caring and always takes the time to explain everything very clearly. We had a wonderful cat that later in life developed kidney problems. I asked Dr. Leto to be straight forward about what the stages would be and how they could be addressed. She was very honest with the most caring explanation. She made sure our sweet boy was always comfortable and was lovingly cared for till the end. There was no question who we would take our new 2 rescue cats to for care. One of them came with health issues and she again has been great. We feel so blessed to have her taking care of our fur babies.

I thought overall the staff was very friendly and helpful. However Dr. Luke was really pushy about adding more to the already expensive list even after explaining that I was on a strict budget. The trust level went down a little bit to be perfectly honest. She made me feel like a bad dog mom because I chose to get the vaccines that my dog Poppy needed rather than the overpriced allergy test that she wanted to do because she was itchy. I would go back, I do think the care is there, but I will be more wary of up sales and additional add-ons from the doctors to make more money than is necessary.

As always when I have Dr. Espinosa, I enjoyed my visit. He is the first doctor I saw at your clinic when I got Queenie 5 years ago, and while I have worked with other vets at your clinic, this time I waited over a month to get an appointment with him. (Queenie is incontinent and didn't have an urgent issue) I feel he always goes above and beyond, and he always takes the time to follow up once we are home. Barring emergency, I will never see another vet again. He is a treasure, and you must guard him at all costs! ?

We are still pretty new to the pet Hospital of La Mesa!! Charlie, the dachshund puppy, seem to think that place was pretty snazzy for his first visit to the vet! They Implanted a microchip so that in a worse case scenario he, Charlie will definitely be returned back to his family! They did a phenomenal job with that, Charlie was his normal self, running around biting and jumping much minutes after we left! He was definitely showered with attention and treated as though he was a special pup! We definitely will be returning in the future!! The only reason I gave them four stars as opposed to five is because they are a little pricey! But, as they say, you get what you pay for, and in this situation I would rather pay more and get amazing service and less and get horrible service he comes to Charlie!
