The customer service is great. Dr Davis always calls and goes over the blood work results. The employees are great with the animals. The medicine prices are reasonable.

Dr. Davis is so amazing with all of my fur babies. He has a gentle manner with them and knows what he's doing. He saved the life of one of my pups, and he stayed overnight with her at the hospital for several nights when she had an extremely bad reaction after surgery. I highly recommend VCA and Dr. Davis. They are well worth the cost!

This is awkward. I now have to adjust my orders and have my family sent out separately in order to make sure my pet can travel with us. I had been trying to set up with this clinic a health certificate for overseas travel. I specifically expressed that we were setting the appointment for over seas travel. And it sounded like they knew what was going on! I was excited that they would help alleviate and help me get my pet taken care of. And they gave the rabies vaccine, come to find out that there is a blood draw that typically takes 4-6 weeks to recieve the results. This would not have been so bad if they had informed me of this... on the initial visit... in June. Or even when I called to try to remedy the situation and get the Health Certification. Highly disappointed. If you're a service member trust me it's better to go to the base vet. I wish I knew base had a vet when I started this initially. Would not recommend or bring my pet here again. Also... the 29 palms clinic is open for only 3 days.

Just from walking into the front door, staff greeted my pup and myself right away. From the front desk staff, the vet technician, and the veterinary, all interactions were professional, friendly, and welcoming. They provided price breakdowns of necessary tests and provided various treatment plans without being pressured into choosing one or the other. Overall, great experience here and will definitely bring back my other dogs while we are here stationed in Twentynine Palms.

I asked once exactly five months ago.
I had to make an appointment because I was moving abroad five months later and needed a certificate for the health check and vaccines required at the airport.I was told that this clinic does not handle international health certificates, which I later discovered was a shock to me.We were very shocked to be told that this clinic does not handle international health certificates, which we later discovered was not the case.We had no time to waste, even if they told us now.I explained to them on the day I came to the clinic, but what was the purpose of this medical examination?I wasted a lot of time and effort at this clinic.I called and talked to them in detail and they did not take me seriously.Please really give me back my time.

Brought my puppy here for a checkup because i had a voucher from the shelter I got him from. Never doing that again. I'll give fair warning that this experience happened 2 1/2 years ago but I never wrote a review and I'm still trying to reverse the damage they've done. They asked if I wanted them to trim his nails, (9 weeks old) has never had this done before. I said sure why not while we are here. They took him out of my arms and out of the exam room into some back room. where I was not allowed to go, I thought nothing of it untill I heard him screaming bloody murder. You would have thought he was dying which I did. When I got him back from them he had blood on his paw and his one nail was trimmed very far past the quick, almost the entire nail was gone. They claimed he had a crack in his nail, that required extra cutting, and that not to worry about the screaming he was just a dramatic. It took me almost two years to gain his trust trimming his nails after that, and so much work even getting him to let me touch his paws, not to mention the anxiety he then had about the vet.
Months later he shattered his leg when he fell into a rodent hole, they were the closest vet to us and I was terrified. I called them and told them what was happening and they said I needed to bring him in, I bring him in and carry him inside on a flat sturdy bed as he can't move and they wanted me to have him stand up, to see if he can walk on it, the bone is visibly broken, you can see where the bone is trying to come out of the skin and he can't move his leg at all. I respectfully declined trying this. They then had me wait with him just to come back and tell me that they don't do emergency vet care and that I would have to drive to an emergency vca vet in Indio an hour away. Their care is extremely overpriced, none of them seem like it's anything more than a job to them. Their was uncleaned urine and fecal spots in the waiting room during both visits, which is a great way to spread disease. Avoid this place at all costs.
I also had brought my cat here to be vaccinated prior to this. He was such a sweet loving cat, loved people. Calm when I took him in and well mannered, they said I wasnt allowed to stay with him during any treatment so God knows what they were ddoing. The vets calls me on my telephone, while he still has my cat and says he is the most ill mannered cat he has ever met, and that he will not be able to administer any of the oral medication that I will need to do it myself, because he didn't want to risk getting scratched by such an aweful cat. If you can't even vaccinated a cat why are you a vet? When he was returned to me he was no longer friendly but traumatized definitely. The Dr was a man, and after this he would attack any man who walked in my house including my husband. He became the meanest cat I have every met immediately after thus appointment. I don't even want to know how they treat or handle animals behind closed doors when no one is watching.
Needless to say I never went back and never will.

They were very thorough and very helpful with my kitten Steve. They answered all of our questions and were very quick with getting us some answers. They gave us the correct information we needed for the kitten and many options and the emergency animal clinic phone number.

The doctor was very informative and clear with his concerns about our kitten Steve.
