Every pet owner dreads when life takes it's course and we have to make the difficult decisions, but Cindy was an angel in the early Sunday morning, compassionately guiding me through the process. Despite never meeting her before, Dr. Lavery felt like part of the family when she helped us say goodbye.

I know that this is not the highlight of your careers, but the compassion and love you showed a random family who had never been there before made the whole process bearable.

My puppy was hit by a car and I brought him to get checked out - and the care was absolutely phenomenal. They were able to do all the necessary tests without even needing to sedate my puppy and made sure he was ok to go home. Thank you to all the staff for helping us on the worst day of our lives!

My seven year old boxer had a 30 minute seizure. She’s never had problems before like this. I called ahead of time and they told me to hurry up and bring her in immediately. We waited in our car in the parking lot for FIVE hours and they said we were next in line and we kept waiting. They called us THIRTEEN hours later and said if we are not there within five minutes, we lose our spot. What kind of treatment is this? They should’ve sent us anywhere else. Now it’s the next morning and my dog is not getting out of bed. Her eyes have been rolled in the back of her head since we brought her in. This is just unethical practice and completely disappointing how you are treating animals. I get you’re busy but 13 hour wait for a dog with a 30 minute seizure? You could have done SOMETHING to help us! This photo is my dog while we waited and this is the best she looked the entire time. Wouldn’t make eye contact. Clearly temporary blindness.

You guys need to seriously step up your practice and ethics!

After taking my Boxer to a local veterinary the following day, not at this practice, she actually had her third eye lid (I didn’t know this was a thing) covering her eyes from stress or allergies. So she’s ok! But I still stand by my original review that they could have taken 5 minutes to clear her instead of wasting people’s time & adding unnecessary stress. This practice’s receptionist and vet assistant told me I needed to stay and it was a dire situation yet did nothing to assist her.

I have had to take multiple pets to Pet ER over the years and have always felt like they cared and empathized with my concerns. My pets were always made comfortable and given lots of love. I was given several opportunities to ask questions and was asked if I understood everything being told to me. I always left feeling better about my situation than when I got there. I’ll use them again in the future if I ever need to. The pic is Anubis, my kitten who had a seizure that I rushed to Pet ER. They took great care of him!

We have unfortunately had to bring our pup twice to Pet Emergency, and both times went very smooth. Yuma got into a porcupine the most recent time … And they had her out and on our way in no time!
Friendly front office staff, knowledgeable vet staff, Smooth check in /out process, affordable(for ER visit!) We would highly recommend for your pet emergencies!

We thought our beloved tuxedo boy was constipated but when his condition rapidly worsened, Pet ER was able to take him asap and instantly took him back on a triage 1; he had a blockage in his urinary tract and likely wouldn’t have survived the night if not for the front desk, vet techs, and vets at PetER who saved his life when no one else was available/open. They gave him round-the-clock care and allowed us to call and visit anytime we wanted/needed to. They gave him belly rubs and chin scratches, and even had a tablet for him to watch tv on during his stay. The level of quality and care here is incredible and we are so grateful for everything. Thank you to all the amazing staff at Anchorage Pet Emergency!

Our visit was very good. The reception staff were calm, pleasant and efficient, and gave us a good idea of wait time and what to expect. We were not a true emergency so we understood that if a critical patient came in they would be prioritized. The redesigned facility is very nice and made the wait comfortabl and the cost for our visit was comparable to what I would expect to pay at my regular clinic. It is a relief to know we have a true 24/7 facility for our pets here in Anchorage.

This emergency room saved the life of my dog twice in two weeks. They also have reasonable prices. I’m grateful for their care. The doctors and the staff were caring during a very tough time for us. Lots of love from our dog Fergus who is doing well!
