I can't even explain how happy I am that I have found this vet. I have taken both of my cats now and each time I was there, I observed genuine care for my animals by all of the staff. I had an amazing vet about 15 years ago and she moved out of state. I didn't think I would find that again, but I am so happy to say that I have now. Thank you Shane Veterinary Center staff for your professionalism, transparency, and care.

I’ve taken all my fur babies to Dr. Shane’s Veterinary since 2009. Dr. Lori Testa and Cynthia are amazing. I moved further away from MDR, but still bring my fur babies to them, even if takes me 2 hours .

I'm extremely dissatisfied with my experience at Shane’s Veterinary. The clinic's priorities seem to be focused on making money rather than providing quality care for animals.

My visit started with an unacceptable wait time of 1 hour and 30 minutes despite having a scheduled appointment. When I finally saw the veterinarian, I felt rushed and pressured into agreeing to costly tests and treatments without a clear explanation of my dog's condition.

The staff was rude and dismissive of my concerns, which added to my frustration. But what's even more alarming is that the veterinarian failed to provide a proper diagnosis for my dog's illness. I left the clinic feeling confused, worried, and unsure about the best course of action for my pet's health.

As a pet owner, it's heartbreaking to see your furry friend not receive the care they deserve. I would not recommend Shane Veterinary Clinic to anyone. The clinic needs to seriously re-evaluate their priorities and focus on providing compassionate, quality care for animals.

I have been going to Shane Vet for some time now. Dr Shane sold the practice and I have seen Dr DeAtley and she is awesome. She actually interacts with my dog! Not just has a vet tech take him right in the back- She is super personable. The prices are fair for the most part. I have not had to wait long -It feels different from when Dr Shane had the practice- I hope they continue to make improvements and keep the staff - they are all really friendly and efficient. Happy so far!...

Update — still love Shane vet. Been coming to them for 14 years now. They do clinics for things like rabies immunization, leptospirosis, etc. half off. Also they’ll sometimes have kitten adoption opportunities & help cover some of the medical bills for those kittens.

Love Shane vet so much!!! We’ve been coming here for 12 years and won’t switch vets no matter where we move. They’re the best. Dr Testa is our favorite and explains things very thoroughly. Shane Vet even does Accupuncture and red light therapy for your pet; how cute is that!? They’re also open 24/7 with emergency hours & associated costs however call first as doctor availability is dependent otherwise go to Access Animal Specialty Hospital in Culver City for ER care.

We have gone to Shane Veterinary a couple times over the years and have always been happy with them.

We recently went for a checkup and flea meds. We have 1 cat that is sensitive to medication and the Vet at Shane Veterinary was willing to listen and help teach us some of the differences in the medication and what to look out for. Luckily, the medication we decided to go with seem to have no adverse reactions. They had us wait in the “cat room”. I would recommend Shane Veterinary to anyone looking for a new vet or is in need of one.

Bedside manner was great, they were accommodating and thoughtful.

I recently had my dog undergo stomach surgery at Shane Veterinary, and I have some concerns. Unfortunately, the suturing technique used this time was staples, which resulted in a keloid scar that is quite unsightly. In the past, my dog had a similar surgery at a different clinic where the suturing with thread left a minimal scar. I’m disappointed and would appreciate an explanation for the choice of method in this case. Overall, I hope this feedback helps improve their practices in the future.
