The place is nice and well maintained. They were busy, but able to attend me quickly. I had to go to them because they were the only place open on Sunday with an Exotics Specialist who could see my tortoise. Very friendly and nice, extremely knowledgeable and professional. Well worth it.

As a dedicated pet parent, I have always ensured that my cats receive their annual vaccinations and health check-ups without fail. After moving to a new neighborhood, I trusted this hospital for the first time, but this visit turned out to be a horrible experience for both me and my cat. It became clear that this hospital values money far more than the health and happiness of the animals in their care.

Before the vaccination, I clearly informed the vet that my cat had a history of adverse reactions to vaccines and requested that the same vaccine that previously caused no issues be used. However, the vet completely disregarded this and recommended the 3-year vaccine instead, without any explanation as to why this option was necessary or how the stronger dosage could increase the risk of side effects.

What was even more shocking was that the hospital presented me with three separate bills for the treatment, asking me to choose one. Their attitude felt like they were pushing unnecessary treatments and prioritizing financial gain over the well-being of my cat. To make matters worse, after seeing that I had high-tier pet insurance, the hospital seemed to exploit this by offering these options, further reinforcing my impression of overcharging. It left me distrustful and deeply disappointed in their practices.

That night, the nightmare began.
After the vaccination, my cat suddenly suffered from a severe allergic reaction—her nose and face became swollen, and she appeared to be in significant distress. Panicked, I called the hospital’s affiliated emergency clinic, only to be met with a lack of accountability. Instead of offering immediate support, they emphasized that simply using the emergency clinic would result in additional costs.

The hospital had never explained the possibility of side effects, yet when my cat suffered from them, they shifted all responsibility to the emergency clinic and the pet owner, demanding payment for every step of the process. While I had pet insurance that could cover the costs, I was so disgusted by their attitude that I decided to take my cat to another hospital instead.

This hospital is truly terrible.
It became painfully obvious that this hospital prioritizes profit over the health and happiness of animals. They treated my cat as if she were a test subject, failing to provide any prior guidance on possible side effects and then leaving all responsibility with me when complications arose.

While the hospital may have gained “valuable experience” by observing the side effects my cat experienced, we had to endure a terrible night filled with fear and stress, and my cat suffered through extreme discomfort and pain.

I strongly advise fellow pet owners to reconsider before trusting this hospital. This is a hospital that cares more about money than animals. If you choose this hospital, you may end up regretting it as I did.

Our English bulldog was having an abdominal crisis and Dr. Elizabeth Kelly wisely recognized the real emergency wasn’t the orthopedic issue (that was also bothering him). Our baby bloated and twisted his stomach, and was so old with many ailments, and likely organ damage, that we let him go. I cannot fully express how grateful I am to the staff for the way they handled this, from start to end. I wish I could remember everyone’s name, but it was an emotional time. Very attentive and kind staff. Important labs were drawn and analyzed in house, on the spot. X-rays and lab results were emailed with ease. The office is wonderful, clean and love the covered porch outside and the thoughtful water and snacks (for people) was much appreciated when you’re focused hours on your fur baby. I’m so thankful this practice was so close to us. They even have a little vet ambulance! ? kudos for that. We miss our baby and are heartbroken, but we could not have asked for a better experience, given the horrible situation. Bless you all. For fur parents, plug this place into your phone contacts for when you need it. They are staffed “with the lights on” all night. Thank you for that.

Honestly, I’ve been to many vets and I’ve never been helped just like I was here. They were very open hearted about the situation with my rescue and surprised me with the best help possible for her. Very compassionate employees and the Dr. herself were also honest and kind. Bless them.
I will always recommend here for any emergency assistance.

My friends and I brought in a stray kitten on Monday that was on the brink of death to the Sand Canyon ER. The staff worked their magic to revive her within 24 hours. Everyone including the vet, vet techs, front desk, and billing dept were deeply caring and vigilant in updating us about the kitten's condition despite it being a busy ER that day. I greatly appreciated how they were transparent about the whole process including potential cost and the kitten's poor prognosis. Yes, it was expensive, but it was worth it because in the end they were able to save the kitten's life. (Photos show the kitten's recovery from the start of the hospitalization to her coming home with us.)

Thanks to everyone at Irvine Valley for taking care of our dog during his recent visit and overnight stay. The diagnosis and his treatment were all spot on. The kind follow up photos, chat messages and phone calls throughout his overnight stay were an incredibly thoughtful and really appreciated. The discharge summary in writing was helpful and easy for us to follow. He’s feeling better today and we are very grateful.

Today has been a very difficult day for me! It’s quiet at my house, and Deebo isn’t here. I feel like I lost a big part of me. Though, I have to thank the wonderful staff at the ER, and I don’t want to get his name wrong Brandon or Brennan (I’m sorry if I got it wrong). He was amazing! He stayed in the room with me, talked me through the steps, and was there till the last minute! He is something else! I wish I can give him a thousand of hugs and thank yous!!! To the amazing doctor I appreciate your honesty, care, and understanding. You are wonderful, not all doctors are as sweet, caring, and loving as you are. Thank you for everything kiss my Deebo for me before you cremate him. I can’t wait to pick him up ❤️❤️.

The staff treated my kitty Tito with the utmost care, kindness, and professionalism when we arrived at the emergency vets office at around 9 PM Sunday. I found out later after they examined him that he had crystals in his urine. I caught it early enough for them to help him out by squeezing his bladder to reduce his pain. Luckily there was no blockage but he needed help with pain meds, urine test, some other medication, and new diet. We were sent home at around 12 PM. So happy to still have my Tito.
