Took my dog in for E/R apt and was happy to get in right away but very displeased with the vet - aside from his sarcasm, seemed to be all about upselling - perhaps he gets commission for sales. I asked to speak to manager to let her know and she was too busy to hear it. The assistant and receptions were very kind and should teach customer service skills to others. In short, if you want good treatment for your furry baby- do not go there.

The only upside to this clinic was that I was able to get an appointment and treatment same day. Unfortunately I did get a sense that the vet was trying sell unnecessary procedures/treatments. Had we gone through with all the recommendations the bill would have easily come out to over a grand for what ultimately was a suspected UTI. It still came out to over $300. The receptionist also seemed annoyed when asking to use the restroom. Overall, I’m grateful for their services but would not recommend.

Agelus Pet Hospital the best of the best. If you really care about your pets this is the place to have them treated. Not only are the Doctors the best but may I say the staff is wonderful. Natalia is the best employee she really cares for our pets. My dog had surgery there and was out the door same day. It’s been 2 months and she is now doing great. Thank you to ANGELUS PET HOSPITAL STAFF my PRINCESS is alive and well

Not a good care experience or overall experience at this location.
My senior dog was seen for a tooth cleaning and possible extraction in early July at this clinic after we noticed a bubble / abscess on his gum. He also had a red inflamed area on his cheek that I wasn't sure was related or not. I dropped him off, he was examined and the doctor called with next steps. The doctor called and confirmed he needed extractions and confirmed they saw an abscess. The doctor was a little vague about the inflamed patch of skin on my dogs cheek but mentioned that they would look at it. I got a quote for $1,700. When I got the call that my pup was done and out of surgery they mentioned they put in a "blood drain" and my assumption (because it wasn't thoroughly described to me at the time) was to drain the infection. He also had staples. When I went to pick up my dog he was in an e-collar and it was covered in blood, and my dog was soaked in blood from his cheek to down his neck. I looked at the tech who was trying to hand my drugged up dog back to me in obvious shock. And she said, "yeah, this is because of the blood drain." And I said, "can't you clean him up?" She said, "oh we did, but this is just going to happen because of the blood drain." I work in healthcare - in care experience and I was immediately put off by this. They didn't offer to put him in a fresh e-collar (or at least give me a new one to take home) she just handed me my dog. I was in a rush to get back to work so I was stuck taking him home that way. I had to come home and clean him off the best I could and I found an e-collar and made him comfortable. THEN, after the blood drain removal + staple removal (two separate visits) he wore the e-collar for another week. I called to ask about his drooping lip on the side they did facial surgery and was told "it's just the swelling." But it didn't look right to me. A week later when the e-collar came off he rubbed the incision site and it opened and I had to take him to a local animal ER. They examined him and after the vet there walked me through what she saw on the gum and based on extractions she saw she asked, "do you know why they performed surgery on his face?" I told her it was to drain the infection. She gave me a skeptical look and showed me where abscesses typically show up. It's higher up near the eye on the cheek. Not down by his mouth where his surgery was. Also, the droopy lip on the left side of his face is likely nerve damage - that according to the ER vet might come back but could also be permanent. I realize she's only looking at him post surgery and hasn't spoken to the vet at Angelus but according to her she did not see a reason why surgery was performed. Needless to say, I was upset to hear this because my senior dog has literally been recovering for a whole month. Him reopening the area was superficial and we treated at with antibiotic ointment but he's been in an e-collar for a month. Plus, I paid $1,690 for treatment my dog might not have needed.
