I’m so confused. This office was amazing in February when we lost our kitty.
Today I called needing help after a long weekend and 24 hours of my other kitty not eating or drinking water and the receptionist absolutely would not help me.
Would not make room in the schedule for a returning patient with an animal in need until until “late next week”. When I asked if she could help me or have someone help me, give me a referral or a nurse give me advice she said:
“I’m new to the area, so no”
Disappointed. Another vets office off the list.
Thought we had found some compassionate lovers here.

VCA is so awesome and caring. They take such great care of my pig dog (English bulldog) that you can't even tell he's 8. Everytime we go in for a check up or an allergy problem, he leaves 5lbs heavier, from all the love, and treats he gets. The staff here are great. I am a firefighter/paramedic and am very critical by nature of other medical providers, and these guys are top notch. I highly recommend this spot!

I have been taking my pets to Ocean View for many years. All of the doctors and staff are fantastic and really care about people and their animals. My best experience was many years ago, our smaller dog ate something unknown and was fading fast. We took him in and the staff was able to quickly diagnose a failing liver. Their fast and decisive actions literally saved our dog's life. I highly recommend them and I am grateful to have them for my pets.

Ocean View is just FANTASTIC! The staff is extremely kind and kind hearted. Always get the best possible service from them. They are totally dedicated to the health and well being of your pet, yet totally understand the financial realities that affect your decisions.

Dr. Sharp, Dr. Powers and Dr. Staff are the doctors we have dealt with the most, and all three are just totally beyond description in their awesomeness. Dr. Powers directly saved K9 Echo's life when we first got her. She was able to treat a intestinal blockage from an insane worm infection without surgery! Dr. Sharp took excellent care of K9 Bravo when he was extremely wounded. These three just LOVE all the animals they see, and make us feel special when we are their focus.

The Doctors and staff all work very hard to ensure you and your pet get what is needed in the most cost effective way possible. I'll never see another vet as long as I live here.

Great Veterinary Hospital--have been going there for 9 years or so--wouldn't take our dog anywhere else.
They always manage to fit us in no matter how busy they are. Very kind, caring, concerned and conscientious not only about our dog, but from our observations in the waiting room, each and every pet that enters their premises. We love Dr. Sharpe, who has cared for our dog for most of her 9 years. We have every confidence in them and thoroughly recommend Ocean View Veterinary Hospital.

We bring several pets to Ocean View for their needs. The people their are wonderful. The Vets are very good.
One situation we had was a broken leg on our little dog. We had been seeing another Vet at the time and the OTHER vet did not do a good job with the splinting ( it kept falling off) Ocean View took us in at that time and took over the setting and healing process. The splint was put on correctly by Ocean View and our little girl healed very nicely, the splint never fell off again.
In a previous situation ( years ago) we had an elderly cat that had been attacked by a dog and unfortunately had to be put to sleep .... Ocean View staff was amazing. Very compassionate. They even made a donation to research in our ( and our cat's) name. and they gave us an impression of his little pawprint ... very sweet.!!
We love that they are open on weekends which makes it easier in scheduling, we do not have to take off work.
They text reminders of appointments ... GREAT idea !!

We have taken both of our dogs for over 10 years to Ocean View.
Ever since they became part of VCA all they care about is money.
We requested a flee prescription but they will not do it without seeing the dog.
We are out of town but there answer is No.
After 20 years, we are not coming bavk.

I have been with VCA for quite awhile now. We came here from another state and decided to stick with them because we had such a great experience. I have not had the same experience here in Pacific Grove. I have been out and out lied to, misled and swindled. We had our pets on the care club plan for their puppy shots and keep getting auto renewed even when I ask not to be. When I asked to have the care clubs canceled because I did not ask to be renewed and was told we would have to pay the plan out in full to stop it. I had to finally get their corporate offices involved and still did not get truly helped. When our baby girl passed away I also thought we could just call and cancel the care club since she was no longer living and they said we had to pay it out as well. Our current experience was just today and I have never been so disappointed. I have repeatedly given this hospital a chance because I have great memories with VCA and didn't want to leave but it looks like I will have to.
