This business tried swindling me to pay more money when I was taking my bird for a checkup. I called before coming in to get am estimate on how much the bill would be and was told roughly $100-200 dollars. The vet did everything he needed to do and once I was ready to pay, they hand me the invoice and once I looked at it, they wanted me to pay $950. I informed the girl that worked in the front I cant pay that is there any way we can do payments or anything else. She told me they are unable to do payments and understandably so; I told her there is no way that I could pay for it either way and so the doctor go on the phone after he left and almost felt like a car salesman trying to sell me on getting these extra tests. I love my bird and would do anything but some of the tests he was requesting was him just trying to make more money. When I told him as well that I could not afford it he still pushed and after about 20 minutes of back and forth and being told I am dealing in bad faith and a jerk for trying to pull on over on him. I told him I will pay for the work that you did today which was 200 dollars and kept trying to push for the work that he did which was just a simple checkup he was so mad that he told me to get out and did not want my money. I am not a confrontational person in any way and this was one of the first times I pushed back against something I did not agree with and I still stand by everything. The way the doctor handled that whole situation was beyond poor and very childish from such a business owner. I am very disappointed and frustrated by what happened and suggest going elsewhere. I highly recommend not taking your bird here for their sake and yours as well.

Attentive bird doctor with a friendly and informative service. Went in for a swollen toe on my eclectus parrot and through his treatment plan more than 9 months later he is doing so amazing and is no longer in pain. Thank you dr.nemetz for saving guapos toe?

My Amazon earlier this year suddenly began falling from its perch and would bite onto the sides of the cage to keep itself from falling over and over again.

Took him/her and essentially found out that the bird was sick, liver shrinking, and dying due to its only seed diet that it had been fed prior to me taking over.

Dr. Nemetz did all tests necessary just to rule out other causes and did an excellent job, imho. I left with a ton of knowledge, medication and it felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders.

The bird immediately adopted the pellet diet which was a good sign. Fast forward to today, the Amazon is in a much stronger state than it was before. I'm glad Dr. Nemetz was able to diagnose the root cause and point me in the right direction.

Dr Nemetz was really nice, I've no idea what the other reviews are talking about. He took his time explaining each step of the check up and even some extra things. He was also very polite to the office staff, which is always a plus. Most importantly, he took excellent care of my babies. He's very knowledgeable and I know my birds are in good hands. His services are expensive but so are ALL medical services! No complaints at all on my end 🙂

Dr Nemetz is amazing and after stumping 4 different vets, my cockatiel finally was able to get some answers! I also learned a TON of information after just one visit. Extremely grateful I was referred to The Bird Clinic. Also, Anabelle is amazing and super kind and made the experience so nice! 10000009483929/10 would recommend this place! But keep in mind, quality care means the price will be higher than you may be used to (which is the case with human medicine as well). I noticed the low ratings for this place are related to client finances and not the actual quality of care which, I believe, is totally unfair towards this place. If you cannot afford to give a pet quality care, do not be irresponsible. Wait until you CAN to get a pet. It’s the same concept with having kids. Anywho, a BIGGG thank you to Dr. Nemetz and Anabelle from Erika & Big Joe! ❤️

As other reviews have stated, this is the absolute best place to bring your birds. I drive almost and hour to bring my birds here. Dr. Nemetz knows exactly what’s he’s doing, shares as much knowledge with you at every appointment, and so incredibly skilled at handling my two sun conures. He explains everything in detail, anatomy, different tests he offers, the importance of a good avian diet, and diseases. He has made time to call me and explain results from tests and also to check on my birds after receiving treatment, which I appreciate so much. The environment is professional, organized and clean. Mandy, the vet is also so nice and helpful. What a great team. I will continue to come here for as long as I have birds!

The Dr is so amazing here no one who has a bird should go anywhere else but to him I learned an extraordinary amount of information and he also gave me a handout with all the information that I needed on that handout gave me information for my very old bird and he's turning in a corner now I'm very grateful for him Thank you for everything you did doctor
