I'm a truck driver and came here because I was under the weather and the staff was remarkable... went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and in good spirits. The process was efficient and effective to see the doctor.
What can I say about the doctor, He covered all the basis. He diagnosed my concerns and was friendly. We had a few laughs, and he prescribed to me everything I needed to feel better immediately.
This place is awesome, and if you need some TLC and a fast recovery from your concerns. Do not waste time in those other urgent cares come here to the best and 24-hour service. The door is always unlocked, and the smiles never end.

The nurses Christy & Miranda are wonderful!! Very kind and helpful, great attitude! They gave my dad the proper care and took time to treat him. Honestly they should get paid more, they're doing better jobs than the actual so called doctor.? Ryan at reception was very nice as well! When the actual doctor came in, he said 2 sentences with the diagnosis and tried to step out. I had questions that I asked and he seemed like they were in a rush to get out of the room. Did not pay proper attention. Terrible bed side manners

Best Emergency Room experience I’ve had. I was seen right away, and received prompt care. The facility was clean and new. The doctor had many years of experience and was very helpful. Hopefully I won’t need to be back… but it’s nice to know this is here in case someone were to need it in the future.

This was my second time to visit Altus. The people were extremely nice. From the moment I walked in everyone was nice and caring. The doctor came right in to check on me when I got there. I wasn’t in a smiling mood, because I couldn’t breathe, but she managed to put a smile on my face. I was checked in, treated, and discharged within an hour.

I had a nasty fall and decided to come to Altus to get checked out. I was seen in about 5 minutes after checking in, and my Nurse Christy B. was amazing and so kind and professional from start to finish. Also, Dr. Abdo was very informative and made me feel calm and comfortable the entire time. Additionally, Jennifer, who handled my x-rays was also wonderful. I would highly recommend Altus in Waxahachie for any urgent care or emergency needs. A whole lot better than any experience I’ve had at Baylor.

Update: I am now on day 12 of coughing, having the head pressure and not feeling back to 100% so going to the facility was definitely a waste of time and money. I am on the last day of Mucinex and have gone through 3 OTC bottles of cough medicine that aren’t working well. Drinking plenty of water and continuing a nasal rinse twice daily as well as Advil to help with the throat and head pain. I could’ve just saved my money spent on my Altus visit and put it towards all my OTC methods of healing or used it at a better clinic and been healed by now.
No one has reached back out to me from this facility to try and make it right or apologize for misdiagnosing me and not giving me medicine to help me get better sooner, which is what I paid them for.

The actual visit was good, quick and easy. The facility is really clean and everyone was kind. The three things they tested me for came back negative so the doctor assumed I had a sinus infection and prescribed antibiotics and Mucinex. I have now finished the antibiotics and still feel just as bad as I did when I went in three days ago so I called and again everyone was very nice and communicated well. I explained I am now on day 8 of being sick and my cough has worsened and hurts so the doctor said she was going to call in a prescription for my cough, but no pharmacy around here had that prescription and she refused to call in anything else. She only wanted me to have that one prescription, she also stated she felt like my sickness has possibly gotten worse, such as bronchitis but is not going to prescribe anything to help me get better, said to just take Mucinex and drink lots of water. If I want to be reevaluated to see if my sickness has gotten worse I can pay another fee to come in, even though this is from the same sickness, they have already seen before. I don’t get sick very often and I only went here because it was Saturday and my current PCP left her practice and I’m not due for my physical yet to find a new PCP. I will find another urgent care in the future if I need help when my PCP is not available. Coming here was a waste of time and money.
