Title: Disappointed with Service and Misleading Practices - A Cautionary Review

Review:

I recently had an unfortunate experience at The Mail Station, located at 8466 Lockwood Ridge Rd in Sarasota, FL. I feel it is important to share my disappointment and caution others about the issues I encountered at this establishment.

To begin with, I was assured that my mail would be sent out on the same day. I even opted for a priority stamp, paying a significant amount of $22.85, expecting efficient service. However, much to my dismay, as the closing time approached at 4:45 PM, I was informed that my mail would not be sent until the following day. This unexpected delay not only inconvenienced me but also made me question the integrity of the staff and the reliability of their services.

Furthermore, I was surprised to find out that I was not provided with a tracking number for my package. In today's digital age, having accurate tracking information is crucial, and the lack of accountability demonstrated by The Mail Station is concerning.

In order to back up my claims, I took photographs of the item I placed in the envelope, along with its timestamp, as well as a picture of the receipt at the same moment. Interestingly, the receipt displayed a time that was one hour ahead, which raises doubts about the establishment's attention to detail and overall accuracy.

In light of my disappointing experience, I strongly advise against using The Mail Station for your mailing needs. Their poor service, deceptive practices, and lack of professionalism make them an unreliable choice. I encourage you to explore other alternatives that prioritize customer satisfaction and provide transparent and dependable services.

I hope that by sharing my review, others will be informed and able to make better-informed decisions when it comes to their mailing requirements.

Title: Continued Frustration and Unprofessionalism at The Mail Station

Review:
I had another disappointing experience at The Mail Station today, following up on my previous visit. I arrived at the location promptly at 8:10 a.m., hoping to resolve the issue I had encountered earlier. However, my expectations were quickly shattered.

Upon entering, I approached the counter and politely requested proof that they had not sent the information I was waiting for. To my dismay, the customer service representative behind the counter displayed a noticeable attitude towards me from the very beginning. It was disheartening to be met with such unprofessional behavior.

As our conversation progressed, things only got worse. The representative began to speak to me in a disrespectful and offensive manner. It was clear that they were not interested in helping me or resolving the issue at hand. To my astonishment, I discovered that the representative didn't even know how to correctly write an email address, and rather than admitting their mistake, they chose to blame me and adopt a defensive attitude.

What disappointed me the most was the representative's reluctance to provide me with the code I needed. It seemed as though they took pleasure in frustrating me further. This entire experience has left me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated with The Mail Station.

In light of these ongoing issues, I have taken the necessary step of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Furthermore, I will be reaching out to the United Postal Service to ensure they are aware of the unprofessionalism and poor service I have encountered at The Mail Station.

I cannot stress enough how disappointing and frustrating this entire ordeal has been. The Mail Station has proven itself to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. I hope that my complaint receives the attention it deserves and that necessary actions are taken to rectify these issues. It is my sincere hope that no other customer has to go through the same ordeal I have faced.

In conclusion, I urge anyone considering using The Mail Station to think twice. The lack of professionalism, disrespectful behavior, and unwillingness to provide satisfactory customer service make this company far from reliable. Response to Owner:

Thank you for your response. I would like to clarify a few points to ensure an accurate representation of my experience.

First, I understand that The Mail Station does not deliver mail and that the post office handles that. My concern was with the lack of communication regarding when my package would be picked up and the unexpected delay. As a customer, I relied on the information provided by your staff and was told my package would go out that day, which did not happen. Transparency about pickup times and any potential delays is essential for customer trust.

Second, regarding the tracking number, my expectation was based on standard practices with priority mail services. I was not offered or informed about the availability of a tracking option, which could have provided peace of mind and accountability for both parties. Clear communication on this front would have been helpful.

Finally, the discrepancy in the timestamp on the receipt adds to my concerns about attention to detail. It’s important for businesses to ensure accuracy in their operations, especially when customers rely on them for time-sensitive tasks.

I hope this feedback is taken constructively and that future customers have a clearer understanding of your services. Thank you again for your response, and I hope my experience helps improve your communication with customers.

I've lived near this mail station for 4 years and I'll be moving out of state soon. As strange as it sounds, I'll miss getting to do business here. The owners are always so kind, helpful and informative. I've done everything from scanning, faxing, shipping, printing, emailing, you name it. They would always ask how I was doing, how my day was going and what I was up to. I always enjoyed conversing with them and it made the whole process considerably less stressful.
People in these comments complaining about prices are probably the same people who turn around and say "I support small businesses/mom and pop shops", but then when it comes time to pay a bit more they throw a fit...hypocrites. Considering how many UPS/FedEx stores are in this area, I'm more than willing to pay a bit more to get that personal touch from good and hard working people who I know on a first name basis. Also, complaining about shipping prices is laughable when those prices are set by the companies doing the shipping such as USPS or UPS. Its based on weight typically and I can speak to this as I worked/shipped out of a warehouse for 2 years, so if you don't like it, your problem is with them, not this station. Same with if the package was lost or didn't get there on time; that would be whoever facilitated the shipping such as USPS, UPS or FedEx, this business doesn't have its own fleet of trucks? Its the middle man.
I hope that if I ever come back to Florida, this place is still around and even if I don't live close, I'll make the trip so that I can continue to work with them and support their business.

I don't often leave reviews, but felt obligated to for this place. The workers here (guy and gal) are two of the friendliest, helpful people I've encountered at any business. Keep up the good work -- your community appreciates you!!

I just recently took a Birthday card with a gift card inside it, completely addressed for my daughter in law. I was promised it would get there in two days! Perfect, I was told it would go into another pkg for UPS. They put the incorrect address on the new envelope and she never received the card. I called the store and was told I should have looked at my tracking receipt and I would have caught it.
No I’m sorry, no apology, actually just deferred total fault to me not checking my tracking receipt! I was appalled at the callous and insensitive response to clearly their mistake. I will never do business with a company or individual that just can’t bring themselves to saying I’m sorry, admitting that it was a mistake and do their best to make things right! Never Again!!! Just go to a more reputable store like UpS store!

If you were able to give less than 1 star I would. These people are awful and should be shut down. Their work ethic is unprofessional the guy that owns the place and the lady that work there were arguing when I went in to ship my package. It took them 5 minutes to even realize I was there. They gave me quotes on a shipment I was wondering why they were so high in price. Now I know these places can charge whatever they want. If you go to a Fedex store the price drops about 30 dollars. This is a scam.
