This review is long overdue, we had Chacha with us for 17 years, she had been looking sad and slow for days we knew the end was near. When it finally happened it happened early I didn’t have time to plan it out went here since it was opened and near my home. The staff was friendly and very supportive( I was overwhelmed and a complete mess), they gave me options I ended up putting down my best friend a difficult decision, they had a quiet room for us, and let me stay with her as long as I needed, they did a heart shape clay of her paw and arranged the cremation. I will never forget how professional and kind the staff was with us. RIP Chacha you are always in my heart.

It was my first time taking my pup to this hospital and it was the worst experience ever they didn’t even check her correctly they also didn’t let me go in with her since the room was too “small” I took her in for a lip infection and I told them I thought that it was because our cat scratched her they told me that was not the case that it was ring worm or mites I told them that it wasn’t ring worm since I am studying vet tech and I knew it wasn’t ring worm but they insisted I take the test I told them that I would talk to my dad and that I would see what I would do they said ok. Later that day they call me saying that the results where negative which I’m not surprised but now they are charging me $133 because they took the test and I called to tell them that first of I never said yes to the test I said I would talk to my dad and they told me that since they already ran that test I have to pay which I find very unfair they also gave me false information about my dog they told me she had a heart murmur and that I had to pay like $900 for an ultrasound to see what type of heart disease she had which I ended up taking her to another vet since VCA didn’t help me at all and they told me that I was right it was bc of the cat and they gave her meds and she is good now they also checked her heart and said that it was great no heart murmur and that wherever I took her the ppl didn’t know what they where talking about which I strongly agree these people do not care about your animal they just want to run unnecessary test to get money out of you

When it comes to the difficult time of putting down your pet, this is the best place to go. They have the best staffs that help you in the best possible way in this situation. The staffs here are nicer, and friendlier than the near by clinics. We brought our pet birds and dogs here also for all kind of treatments. The wait time is minimal. The environment is clean, spacious, and nice.

We just changed vets and we are very happy so far. We live very close so it's very convenient. We all really like the doctor, she's very knowledgeable and friendly. The doctor already knew our dog's name the next time we came I'm. They offer many services that are very accommodating for your dog or cat. Again we are very happy that we found succh a great vet closer to home and our dog seems happy too. They offer many types of food and non allergenic treats. We feel our dog is in good hands here. Thank you!

Firstly, The 3 stars rating should really be 4 stars, but I wanted to get management's attention by giving a 3 star review.

I liked VCA Orchard Plaza and their service. I've been with them for close to 5 years depite steady increase in their membership fees, now appx $100 a month.
Unfortunately, over the past 6 months, it's been really hard to get an appointment, even when my dog needed immediate visit. I had to take her to urgent/emergency care. Then I could not get follow up appointments as prescribed by the urgent care Vet.

In general, staff is really nice too, except one lady(Tai or Tao?) who can be curt and a bit rude over phone sometimes.

My rating is 3 stars because I think their service is good. Unfortunately, it is hard to get an appointment.
So, I will need to find a more responsive vet now.

Update 3/2/20 - Love this place! The staff is always so professional and nice ... they love animals and it shows! The dust has settled after their remodel, and it's so nice and comfy for the fur babies! My only "ding" would be that they're not open on Sundays. Wouldn't be so bad if I could use my CareClub at another VCA location (that's why I didn't give them 5 ⭐)

The staff here is so friendly and caring. My fur babies love them!

I have always had very good experiences until now. I tried to drop off my cat. There was a discrepancy between what the receptionist told me and what Ty told me. Ty gave me good information and the receptionist did not. When I asked why the receptionist did not give me good information I could not get an answer from Ty. I would repeatedly ask " Why didn't the receptionist tell me this" and the answer was always "The doctor needs to see the cat and call you".

I understood the doctor needs to see the cat. I understood after talking with Ty that a same day appointment for all this was not possible. That is their policy and I accepted it. But she still never answered my question: "Why didn't the receptionist tell me this at the time I made the appointment? " My question was directed at "why was I not told", rather than "why cant they do everything the same day." The question was deflected repeatedly rather than answered. It deserved and still does deserve a good answer. If it had gotten an answer to my question a shouting match would not have prevailed.

She also told me that the vets can manipulate the schedule depending upon the severity of the situation. When I asked "So they CAN make changes to the schedule?" Ty said "I never said that." Which is not true. I know what I heard and dont take well to people telling me I did not. I will take a polygraph and be deposed under oath if necessary. The reason I asked her that question in the first place is because I was told dental work is 2 - 3 months out. My cat cant eat and is losing weight. She will starve to death if she has to wait that long. My work schedule is such that this is the only vet is I could use as I work 7 days a week, 11 -12 hours per day. I was crying and begging Ty not to push this cat out 2 -3 months. Ty said "We are not getting anywhere" and went in the office. I could not follow her because I was locked out.

2-3 months backlog for severe dental issues She then started filming me standing at the door knocking and begging that my cat be helped. Ty was in the office looking terrified at me as if I threatened her (which I most certainly did not). Ty is big enough that she could have kicked my butt 7 ways to Sunday if she wanted, which made her "I'm scared you are going to hurt me" act so ridiculous.

I have been in corporate sales and service my entire career. Every place I have worked I have been held accountable when there was a miscommunication and the customer asked why. I was expected to answer for it. I expected the same from Ty but never got a direct answer to my question as why the receptionist did not tell me what I needed to know at the time the appointment was made.

I am still waiting for the direct answer to my question and I hope someone from this branch will do the right thing by giving me one. I cant get to another vet. My cat may well die because of this. A direct answer to my original question was all I needed. How am I (a repeat customer who has spent THOUSANDS of dollars in the past with VCA Cottle) supposed to feel comfortable leaving my cat with with you if your staff wont answer a simple question? LoveBug died.
