Terrible experience. Almost 2 hour wait to get my dog inside. One person in front of me. They were aware I was concerned my dog had a massive stroke.

Decision was made after vets exam to put our beautiful baby down.

Paperwork was not clearly explained. Vet tech did not show me the second page and did not have me sign it.

When they brought my baby back outside , I was under the impression she had been laid to rest. Nope, she was still breathing. Vet tech wanted to argue that I signed the second page but never showed me that I did sign it.

Once we were able to deal with the veterinarian herself things were slightly better. She was great.

The rest of the experience was terrible.

They helped us put our sweet boy down tonight. These were some of the most helpful and compassionate people I have ever encountered. Thank you so much for your kindness.

Our English bulldog got heat stroke and we had to rush her here late at night. Everyone here was extremely professional and caring. The prices here are on the high end, but that's to be with an overnight emergency vet. They saved my dog's life ❤️

I was very disappointed in the service. I had to hand my animal off who isn’t feeling well to someone they don’t know. An hour later I get a phone call after they evaluated her, without asking me any questions or gaining info I knew. They gave no understanding of what the severity was or how she was doing. The vet is like the wizard of oz, never saw him and he never introduced himself when he called. Everything was via phone call with him. I appreciate that they resolved what was going on however it was a negative experience as the owner. Very little explanation of price and care options as well as how she would feel or experience when I took her home. I would not go back

Heartless and Unprofessional Experience

The pain of losing a beloved pet is devastating, but the cold, heartless treatment we received from the director of operations, Challice, at AA Animal ER in Palm Harbor made an unbearable situation even worse. During our dog’s final moments, Challice, the director of operations, stormed into the room and began yelling at my grieving husband. Her harsh, unprofessional demeanor escalated the pain we were already enduring, and her words—“Your dog is dying; you are our last priority!”—were both cruel and deeply insensitive. In a moment that called for compassion, her behavior was cold and utterly unacceptable.
Despite my desperate pleas for her to stop yelling as I cradled my dying dog, she continued to escalate the situation, ultimately shouting, “That’s it, I’m releasing you all!” Her actions caused immense additional trauma during an already heartbreaking goodbye.
While the attending veterinarian showed kindness and professionalism, Challice’s behavior left us traumatized and robbed our dog of the calm and loving departure he deserved. No family should have to endure such unfeeling treatment in their most vulnerable moments.

The doctor did not help my dog. 3 hours later she calls me in a different place to wait and did nothing, just let him suffer. He was barely alive. By the time I got him to a real vet he didn't make it. I'm so mad. Please don't take your pet there. My tiny Chihuahua suffered!!!!!

We waited hours with no one there then, waited hours while 5 or 6 other animals were treated. Then, waited hours after all the other animals were seen and left. Took over 3 hours once they decided he needed x-rays as they didn't have time to take his x-rays. They kept saying they were going to do his x-rays next but, they didn't for hours later. It took another hour to discharge him once no one was there. First one to arrive and last one to leave. Go to Urgent Care not the Animal ER unless you know for a fact it is an emergency. We thought he might need emergency surgery for a blockage, so we took him there. Wish we would of went to Urgent Care first and have them refer us to the Animal ER if needed as this took all day. We were there before the emergencies started coming in. Then, they stated they were taking care of animals in the hospital and ICU when we first got there and no one was there. They had shift change, so they weren't seeing animals waiting. Not enough staff for the volume of animals being seen. Not a good experience even when no other animals or emergencies were occurring. I would not recommend this Animal ER unless you have all day to spend waiting. They sedated my dog. He was worse leaving than when I took him.
