In 2015, my HIV diagnosis triggered significant distress, but awareness of available treatments enabling normal life expectancy alleviated my concerns. AHF proved instrumental in facilitating access to required care, dental treatment, and mental health services. Their dedication and expertise have earned my lasting appreciation, especially the Downtown LA staff, whose exceptional kindness and professionalism have been remarkable. I extend sincere gratitude to AHF for their ongoing commitment to providing essential support to those in need.

I took my partner to get assisting with (HIV Meds) unfortunately the front desk staff was rude and unfriendly! We were questioned multiple times if we were sure of the diagnosis. Making my partner and feel very uncomfortable. I would give this AHF center ZERO STARS if could based on the customer service experience. Please contact the center for appointment if necessary to avoid this issue. Healthcare professionals should be held to a higher standard of service to new and existing patients! Not all clinics are the same!

The main problem is that the CEO doesn't pay very well and he overloads the clinics with too many patients. That means that it's a revolving door for the doctors, nurses and staff. Not good. People who work there are often really nice and they're doing the best they can, but it's poorly run otherwise.

The appointments are often months out and they don't care if your need is pressing, you just have to wait. My friend needed to get a quick exam before having some emergency dental surgery and they told him he had to wait a month for an appointment. Seems they don't understand what the word "emergency" means. Now my friend has to walk around with gaps in his teeth until he can get someone to examine him.

Just really poor, poor customer service. Only go here if you have no other option

The guy at the front desk told me to seat back and wait for my named to be called then left work, then I waited for 40 minutes finally I went to the window to ask a female receptionist, she told me that there was nothing to let me wait for, I could have just left already! OMG...
And the security guard is very disturbing, talking nonstop very annoying, the single most effective way to improve your client experiences is to get rid of him!

The security guard is extremely unprofessional. Makes me super uncomfortable. Last time I was there he was talking about what a great president Trump is! He is not fit to work in an lgbt clinic.

For me to have been a client for over four years now, whoever this Dr. Javiera is to intentionally not refill my scripts and deliberately ignore my request for a phone call as I have left numerous messages is Absurd. I’ve even purposely visited the clinic to ensure her “due diligence” as a medical provider. To my surprise I received no contact what so ever. I’m now beginning to think that this is not just a regular administrative issue. I’m now thinking that this is more discriminatory and intentional and very much against the law. Yes I’m African-American yes I’m a participating member of the clinic, And yes a four year nonstop active patient. This type of negligence should never be forced or even considered when dealing with anybody of any race or color having a terminal illness.

Avoid this place like a plague. I have a long list of complaints. But they are incompetent. I have been sick but stable since 1996 and transferred to AHF in 2009. I have had 5 doctors in less than three years . One doctor I never knew about was in an office 50 miles away and they were calling an old phone number to give me appointments I never got. Because I missed those appointments they stopped my antivirals. Irresponsible. Because of that, I now have an infection in my brain and the doctor ordered a neurology appointment which sat in a worker's desk drawer since January 11. They won't do anything for me until I go to that appointment. I finally forced them to make the appointment although they tried to make me do it but I can barely talk so they finally got off their lazy butt and managed to schedule it for March 18 and time is of the essence here. God only knows how bad this can get in the next three weeks. They also let my A D A P expire without telling me and I now have to pay out of my pocket for medication. Total incompetence. Don't go there. Hopefully they will disappear. They are profiting off people's illnesses and misfortune. The list of complaints is long.
