Our beloved family pet Pastel had gotten sick. After searching and calling multiple veterinarians, we were referred to Algonquin Animal Clinic. There, she was diagnosed with a grave disease. We found ourselves facing a dreaded and tough decision. We had two options. The first one will
help our little gecko ease the pain that came with the diagnosis. The other was a heartbreaking, much greater, and painful decision. In the hopes that somehow the disease will disappear, we opted for medical treatment.
We kept ourselves hopful and went home with various medications, which she didn't find very appealing, and refused to take for the most part. We quickly realized she was not getting better, as the vet had told us. At this point, we had to make that dreaded decision. We had to choose our second option.
We called the vet clinic and told them we would bring our little gecko to have her euthanized. The person on the other side of the phone was very helpful, understanding, and supportive. This decision has left us heartbroken but has given our little gecko painless and peaceful passing.
We are very thankful to Dr. Durante and all the staff for their support and compassion during this very difficult experience.

Brought my parrot Booyah here who wasnt feeling well. They were not only professional and kind, they were so through. They got us into a room quickly and the clinic was so clean! They got all the tests done for my baby without even stressing him out! I would 10/10 highly recommend!

The office staff and Dr. are the most compassionate vets I have ever met. Even when things go the worst way they truly feel your pain and make sure you are OK (or the best you can be) for a bad situation. I must say I do love tanner the turtle.

The people are nice . I brought my rabbit in she wasn't feeling good . The doctor wanted to help us to get her well . He was nice and he listen to you.the staff was awesome and amazing.

I've only taken two of my animals here, but I have had wonderful experiences with Dr. Durante and the rest of the staff. Dr. Durante is very thorough about treating animals and straight forward about treatment options. He treated my hamsters just like he would treat any dog or cat, and I appreciate that a lot, since some vets don't seem to take hamster care seriously. They are also more reasonably priced than the other vet I go to. Huge shoutout to Dr. Durante + staff for being great with my hamsters!

It can be really hard to find a veterinarian that cares for rabbits.. All the staff at the Algonquin Animal Clinic take such great care of my rabbit Saber. Dr. Durante is wonderful and realizes that each pet, no matter feathers, scales, or fur, is loved and an important part in the life of its owner.I would never go anywhere else!

We are heartbroken that our little rabbit passed away this morning due to the actions of one of the new vet techs. Our rabbit was fine for a few days until yesterday afternoon. We called the vet on the day of the appointment to make sure that we had the appointment set on that day. She was rude over the phone and said we didn't have an appointment that day. Later that day another staff had called us to inform us that we indeed did have an appointment that day and had to reschedule. Our bunny suffered and got sicker without our knowledge. We fed her everything they gave us and told us to wait for our next appointment. But we think the medication they gave us overdosed her. The vet never gave the bunny a diagnostic test, so we weren't really sure of her condition.
