I have had such positive experiences with Ali'i Animal Hospital. I have brought my own pets, colony kitties, and rescue cats. They have such great hours that make it easy to schedule. Their availability is also great with hours on Sunday.
Best of all, their level of care and patience with the animals are great. Dr. Yasunaga has been so gentle with the kitties, who are usually scared and stressed about being at the vet. In one case, she was willing to complete her exam of the patient on top of the cabinets to avoid stressing him out by bringing him down before the exam. The office staff are always very nice and helpful, too.
I definitely recommend Ali'i Animal Hospital for your veterinary needs!

Initial visit (staff and vet) were amazing. Follow up appointment...not so amazing. Super long wait time in exam room on an empty day. My dog fell asleep.

I am forever thankful to Dr Gupta and his staff for being super accommodating and thorough in their diagnosis and treatment of my teacup Pomeranian Leia. She became very ill and hypoglycemic and was on the brink of the unthinkable. Dr Gupta quickly accommodated my baby and saved her life. The customer service is top notch and they have great hours. Will recommend this office to anyone looking for a fantastic veterinarian.

The resort offers day care, spa services, grooming, and luxury lodging for dogs. The suites have 24 hours video camera so guests can be viewed at all times by their parents. Offering Hawaii the best veterinary care to dogs and cats and the best resort for dogs. The hospital has laser therapy, acupuncture, dental surgery, in-house radiology, in-house laboratory and pharmacy.

We have taken our dogs Nika and Jacobi for wellness checks and other services and from the receptionist (Nadia), to the assistants, and to Dr. Yasunaga, hands down they show they care and provided the best customer service. Nadia even assisted us with submitting a our claims to our pet insurance company. Thank you Alii Animal Hospital.

DO NOT COME HERE. They’ve repeatedly hurt my pet, and every time he leaves, he’s limping. These so-called “doctors” are not just incompetent—they’re aggressive. They won’t even let you inside, locking my dog in a cage for hours if they’re overbooked. It’s disgusting. Just look at the other 1-star reviews—this place is a nightmare. Save your money and, more importantly, your pet’s life. I deeply regret ever trusting these cruel, inhumane people who dare to claim they care about animals. Stay away.

Always excellent customer service and treatment by Dr Gupta! Thanks for getting my Leo in quickly and helping him get out pain. Alii is one of the only vet hospitals on island with an orthopedic surgeon on staff. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a comprehensive vet clinic.

Our first experience with Ali’i was a really good one. Their staff was friendly and courteous. And Dr Denzdell was compassionate and professional. And they were able to squeeze us in on the same day. They are open on weekends so you know you’re not going to have to pay any unnecessary boarding fees. Fortunately our Kitty was out the same day. And they did an excellent job. We would definitely recommend this place.
