I have been with Animal Care Clinic for almost 30 years. They are the only vets and techs my pets know. They are knowledgeable and caring people, including times of sorrow. We visit monthly to have my kitty's nails clipped. The techs and office personnel are very nice and quite helpful. All around, this is the best place for your pets and you.

My Lab, Bailey, became very lethargic, wouldn't eat, threw up right after drinking water, and was confused and in very bad shape. Dr. Schroeder started treating her, and it didn't look good at first. They kept her overnight and gave her excellent care and treatment! Bailey has bounced back and seems in great shape! I am pleased with Dr. Schroeder and the care she gave to my buddy! You can tell she cares and goes the extra mile!

From the moment you walk in, all the staff is nothing short of friendly, helpful and amazing. For the last 8 years the staff have been taking care of our babies. They were amazing when we finally had to make the decision to let our elderly dog cross that bridge, and they are fun and interactive with our other two ❤️. The staff the facility top notch.

First visit was great but today I stopped to pickup medication for my dog and ran into a receptionist with a condescending attitude who decided to talk to me like I'm a 2 year old. I would think since I called ahead and let them know I was coming to pick it up they would have it ready to go, but that was a mistake on my part. I had to go through everything I went through on the phone just to have this receptionist treat me poorly because I questioned why the meds weren't already ready. Never had this experience with any other vet, when you call ahead they have your order ready when you get there. Wasn't necessary for her to act so arrogant over a question, customer service is not her strong quality. Just got a letter they sent 3 months ago to the wrong address lol telling me I wasn't welcome back, but here they say I can come back. So they allowed they're employee to be condescending and rude to me, then punish me and can't even get my address straight LOL unprofessional all the way around!!!

~Sheba
About a year ago, a well filled-out black cat started showing up on my parents back deck. Initially it was believed that this feline was just another one of the neighboring cats simply making its rounds throughout the vast floodplain over which our back deck overlooks. Given that this part of the woods represents a universal passageway / proven hunting grounds for a variety of critters, it would be no surprise if a new cat sighting was confirmed every so often. In general, there has been harmony amongst the cats in the neighborhood. Most go out of their way to maintain an air of independence by proactively staying out of each other's way. But every now & then, a border dispute breaks out -usually around the break of dawn..! It is then that the majority of the neighborhood, especially those with bedroom windows facing the floodplain, are suddenly awakened by a cacophony of sounds never intended to be heard by man.
Over the years, a select few cats have made their way out of the woods and onto our back deck thereby making their presence known. To these ambitious & ubiquitous types, my parents would assign names like 'Gratz' (inspired by a local body shop), 'Tux', 'Shades', and 'Pierre'. I even recall my father naming one after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.. The poor feline had to live up to the modified 'cat friendly' moniker: 'Benjamin Netan"Meow" Hu'. I'll admit. It rolls off the tongue..

My parents, now in their eighties, have recently warmed up to this latest black cat visitor & now call her 'Sheba'. And by all accounts, Sheba is now officially part of the family - having taken her spot on a long list of self reliant free-spirits. This new union was fostered, however, under false pretenses.
As winter fell last year, Sheba appeared rounder and rounder with each passing day. It was soon believed and pronounced with alacrity that Sheba was expecting. So sure of this inevitability, my mother, started making arrangements for Sheba's big day.. Interested parties were offered first dibs on the yet-to-be-delivered kittens - temporarily named: 'A', 'B','C', & 'D'. We all even guessed the number of mews that would eventually emerge from Sheba's ever-widening belly. As this process developed, my mother accepted responsibility, & a bond between my parents and Sheba emerged.

The announcement of Sheba's likely pregnancy was met with increasing skepticism when after multiple months of increasing roundness, there were still no signs of 'A', 'B', 'C', or 'D'. It was only then that my sisters and I did the math and quickly debunked Sheba's state of being. We compared & ultimately contrasted my mother's 'roundness' assertions to the average pregnancy of a cat - around 65 days (per Google).
By the end, It was widely accepted that Sheba was just a little plump. Still my mother wanted to get that crafty cat to Animal Care Clinic not only for her initial shots and to be spayed, but for a final ruling. Afterall if Sheba weren't pregnant, then why did she look like she had 'swallowed a soccer ball'? Did she have a tapeworm? Was she consuming chipmunks on the side all while my mother was strictly monitoring her daily friskee intake?
The problem was that Sheba did not want any part of this. Despite standing on four short legs, Sheba proved that she could outwit, out-squirm, & thwart
all attempts at getting her into that carrier.. After 2 broken appointments, my mother called the Animal Care Clinic for advice. That's when they reassuringly said, 'If & when you can get her over here, we'll fit her in.' Well that accommodative response is what (to me) differentiates a great vet clinic from all the rest .
After coming down to visit my parents , my last duty was to help find a way of getting Sheba admitted. And with the aid of a friendly assistant who came out to the car to help transport Sheba through the Clinic's front door -(It took all hands on deck), we finally realised success! Sheba's now in good hands!
