My cat had been a patient of this facility for several years, I scheduled an appointment for a general checkup as she is getting older and asked that they clean her ears while we were already there. A tech took her in the back and brought her back to me in her carrier. The vet and tech said all looked good and we were free to go home. I got her home, maybe a 15 min drive, took her out of the carrier and she couldn't walk straight. She was walking sideways, and her head was tilting to one side. I contacted the vet, they said it can be a common occurrence after ear cleanings and wear off within a day or two. It got worse, she couldn't eat because she was too dizzy and sick, couldn't use the litter box without tipping over, I called them again and asked for the Vet herself, they refused to let me speak with her, and said she had my messages. I had to start feeding her with a puree and medicine plunger, took her to another vet, and they indicated it was likely caused by the cleaning, but they could not confirm anything without an MRI. Needless to say the office manager at The Animal Clinic of Butler, did finally contact me, and proceeded to belittle and berate me, indicating I was out of line and nothing out of the ordinary had occurred during her visit, was I sure nothing happened to her on the way home? Needless to say, they will no longer take my phone calls, emails, messages, or provide my cats medical records. I am not an unrealistic person, I understand accidents can happen and nothing is guaranteed in the medical world; however, if you're a medical professional, then handle your issues like a professional!

Deeply unimpressed. My tripod is not quite 3. I brought him in because he was not walking well and his rehab specialists recommended x-rays. After asking for x-rays, this vet told me he did not need them. I ended up getting a second opinion the following week only to find out that he had hip dysplasia and needed a hip replacement.
Then, I purchased a policy for pet insurance. They needed his vet records before his policy could be active. After calling several times to get his records, and never receiving them, his new vet was finally able to send them to me.
Will not be returning.

Wonderful practice took care of my 6 y/o Yorkie Zoe in an emergency situation within a couple of hours of calling. My dog had a concussion and Dr. Pennington took care to examine her thoroughly. She is kind and caring and the vet techs and staff were great. My dog made a full recovery thanks to Dr. Pennington and her team. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Barbara Steetle

When my sweet girl who was 16 needed some help crossing the rainbow bridge, this vet and her staff were compassionate, caring and supportive for her and us. She will be our new vet for our other dog for life. Thank you for your caring and understanding during a truly difficult decision.

They are a very understanding group of people from Dr. Pennington to her assistants. My dog is a handful and they handled her with patience and understanding. So glad I found this clinic and would recommend them to everyone.

If you want to get charged over $50 every visit for a required wellness exam, don't go to this business. I set up an appointment for a vaccination and was charged an additional exam fee even though my dog had just been there a couple months ago. Dog care is expensive enough without these unnecessary fees.

Got me and my Sebastian in within 2 hours of calling, gave quick care n everyone from the lady at the front desk to to doctor was extremely kind. Was also very understanding with my financial concerns. Definitely going to be our regular vet for now on:)
