I cannot say enough good things about the emergency animal hospital that has taken care of our beloved dog Storm over the years. From minor issues to more serious emergencies, they have always been there for us and our furry family member. The staff is kind, compassionate, and always quick to respond in times of need.

When our dog passed away, they were incredibly supportive and helped us navigate through the difficult process with grace and understanding. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we were okay during that heartbreaking time. We miss her so much.

Now, we have a new puppy and they have been just as amazing with her. The care and attention they provide is top-notch, and we feel confident knowing that she is in good hands with this exceptional team.

I highly recommend this emergency animal hospital to anyone in need of quality care for their beloved pets. They have truly been a blessing to our family and we are so grateful for all they have done for us over the years. Thank you for everything.

We have driven two hours twice to the Animal Emergency Center of the Quad Cities because our local emergency hospital was either closed or not seeing any more patients that evening. I know there are staffing shortages, but it does make it difficult if not life threatening. Both times we have been treated with the utmost respect and compassion at the Quad Cities Center. I truly wish they were closer. Upon arrival, our girl was immediately taken to the back to assess whether or not her condition was life threatening. While examining her (and x-ray), they found a problem we were completely unaware existed and was no doubt the cause of her symptoms. We are now able to zero in on that and, hopefully, help her. Did we have to wait a bit to talk with the vet? Yes, but it was not hours. Perhaps we arrived at a time when they were not horribly busy. Again, I wish they were closer as I would not hesitate to return if needed. Thank you to the Dr. and the staff for taking care of our precious girl and for being so kind to us. Blessings to you all.

I took my cat here Sunday after coming home from out of town to find her sick. When I arrived we stood at the door while the lady working walked by numerous times not even acknowledging us. I finally rang the bell and she opened the door and greeted me by asking me what my “so-called emergency was.” I explained to her my cat was very sick and I was nervous her gums were getting white. She asked to look at my cat and told me she looked fine to her. She said we could wait if we really wanted to but it would be around 4 hours because they were busy, and if another animal came in of higher importance we would have to wait longer. We ended up leaving and taking our cat to our vet the next morning, where she ultimately died. I understand you may be busy, or short staffed, but people are coming to you in distress when their pet is very ill. A little compassion and kindness goes a long way. If you don’t have that, you are working in the wrong job. I was very disappointed in our experience here, and am devastated our cat didn’t get the care she needed sooner.

We drove from cedar rapids at 11 pm at night due to one of our cats needing emergency medical treatment. They were the sweetest people and made sure we were up to date with what they were doing and how much it would cost. My card reached a limit to where I could only spend $200. They donated the other $198. If you need help with your animals this is definitely the place to go.

Had to bring my sweet girl down Friday night, unfortunately my old gal had somewhat collapsed and was having a hard time moving and was breathing very hard, we arrived and were greeted very pleasantly, we were quickly told her abdomen was full of blood. We then made the hard choice to let her go! The vet and his team were amazing every step of the way! They prepared us for every step! We miss our sweet girl so much but feel relieved knowing they quickly got her out of pain! I would ? recommend this clinic if you have an emergency, thank you for making the worst night of my life as good as it could be!

Two weeks ago, on a Sunday, our sweet pittie took a really bad turn for the worst and we knew it was time to let her go.

Being a Sunday we didn't really have much choice of where to take her but the staff at the Animal Emergency Center was amazingly patient and kind and took care of us and our sweet girl. They explained everything, gave us as much time as we needed both before and after and were incredibly compassionate. We truly appreciate them.

The staff here are so patient, wonderful, and passionate about helping animals. I recently brought my cat cali there last minute on a Sunday night. I wish I could find the paper I had them write their names on for me, but I wanna endlessly thank each of them, the front desk attendant, the veterinary assistant and the veterinarian for the kindness and care we received.

Our dog Zeus had emergency surgery last night. He was suffering from an obstruction in his intestines. Dr. Wilwerding and the entire staff were amazing. We are so grateful. They saved Zeus’s life. ♥️
