I brought my golden doodle in on Friday September 27, for a pre-exam Neuter appointment that was supposed to take place today. He got a rabies and a parvo shot. He was a completely healthy dog. Everyone at the office on Friday was great. I called the office this morning (September 30) at 8:00 am as soon as they opened to let them know that my dog had started throwing up on Saturday night and had not stopped so we would have to reschedule his surgery. They told me to bring him back in for a follow up regarding the shots he received and we could do further testing. After testing and some blood work, we discovered Knox had parvo. The girl at the front desk was very rude and made a scene about him having parvo. She said “did you wash your hands after you touched him? You’re leaning all over my counter and you are contaminating everything. We see a lot of puppies. Go wash your hands.” I also had a 3 month old puppy that was perfectly fine Saturday morning, and died by Sunday evening. Both of my dogs seemed fine until our visit to the vet. I did not appreciate being treated like an idiot and like it was my fault my dog had parvo. Once again, BOTH dogs were healthy until the trip to the vet.I filled out care credit to pay the $1300 bill for his week stay and was told “fill out the application in your car.” 😒 The doctor is nice. Staff needs work.

When I picked my dog up after 4 days in the hospital, he was covered in his own poop and puke. I was told they were unable to wash him because of parvo. After being sent home after 4 days of treatment, I had to return him 2 days later in worse condition. I was told on Monday he was doing much better and responding to antibiotics, then another vet called me at work on Tuesday morning and said “we’re sorry. Your dog died overnight”. This was another $500. This ENTIRE experience was horrible. Dr Cruz was great, but I will never EVER bring another animal back here again. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Great place and a very friendly staff. The priceing is more than fair . I live in morgan county and i called almost every
vet from indinapolis to paoli and thier prices are all higher than AHOB . Also no one could get me in they kept pushing me towards emergency clinics and as you may know emergency clinics cost twice as much but AHOB got me in the day i called .

My Guinea pigs and parakeet see Dr. Kruse! She is the best exotic animal vet I have ever had. She’s super knowledgeable, and actually gives you extensive information on when, what, where, why, how with everything with your babies. I wish I could give her a lot more recognition, she absolutely deserves it. She genuinely cares.

We happened upon this practice (in my hometown) through a family member employed there. Joy had been such a help each time I’d reached out to ask about norms in procedure and pricing in this industry. We wanted to see a new vet in our area, but, most local vets weren’t seeing new animals til months out. My husband and I had become concerned our two dogs were not getting the care they needed at our vet in Newburgh, IN, yet prices for services had skyrocketed. We felt some of the services the staff in Newburgh recommended were to a financial end. After decidedly being against going back to our former vet, our 16-ish lab mix (rescue, age is estimated, we adopted her in 2017 at ‘ten’ as their best guess with her graying already) suffered a bout of uncharacteristic constant incontinence coupled with runny stool and occasional vomiting. I had thought it was likely rainbow bridge time, I was broken hearted. Joy and this practice for the win, we were able to get in and get old Penny girl medicated with what we lovingly call her ‘carpet saving’ pills. We were so pleased with the staff and doctor that I asked if they’d take my dogs on as patients. They DID and we couldn’t be more thankful. The dental I never felt ok with doing at my past vet for our adopted yorkie: I did it, this week, she’s better for it, AND it cost $900 less than when Penny (lab) had the same done. (Of course a difference in cost should be expected between a seven and seventy pound dog for surgery, but not nearly a grand). I was also told, by Dr. Brown that my elderly dog DID NOT need to be put back under to pull more teeth, that the risk wasn’t worth it and we’d watch for decay and infection instead. So affirming, I wish we’d always come here! I drive two hours to bring our babies here, I love the vet I’ve seen as well as the staff. The reasonable prices are what brought me, the place and its team that care are what will make me continue to come up for vet services. Big thanks!
