Animal hospital of Colorado Springs saved our kitty's life.
My wife and I have a 15 year old indoor kitty.
Recently she became incredibly sick.
Loss of fur, sores, redness, inflammation started forming on her face, mouth, ears and was spreading rapidly. We were scared.
We took her to vet clinics and we got everything from, we don't know, to it could be cancer. We were given ointments that did nothing to those that seemed to make it worse.
3 days before Thanksgiving on a random call, I tried Animal Hospital of Colorado Springs. I told them what was happening to her and they said, we can fit her in.
Dr. Smith, with caring and compassion sat and methodically examined our kitty with grace and care. Not the standard feel her belly, take her weight get her out the door assembly line exam we are so used to.
He looked at every sore. It felt like he looked at her for 30 minutes.
He looked over all of her past labs, ordered another lab.
Then he came back in and sat and talked to my wife and I for another 20 minutes explaining what it could be and what it definately was not, and why.
He placed her on a steroid trial for 2 weeks, saying, he's tried this with other kitties that looked far worse with good results.
He scheduled us an appointment for 2 weeks for a follow up and said he'd call us in a few days with the lab results.
(True to his word, he called. Not a receptionist, not a tech, Dr. Smith called.)
This is the Saturday after Thankgiving. Our kitty has done a 180. She's healing. She's back to her old self.
Animal Hospital of Colorado Springs gave us compassion, caring, wisdom and knowledge. They also gave us what no one else did - answers.
Our kitty was not treated as if she was just an object on an assembly line
We thought we were going to lose our baby.
She's our family, our loved one, and if you're reading, I know you feel the same about your fur baby. We want our loved ones cared for, we want their well-being, we want their physicians to care as much for them as we do.

They were really friendly. My vet tech Ashley was really nice and kept calling my dogs handsome boys. And my doctor Michaela Baker was really sweet and funny with my dogs and me. I'm glad my babies are taken care of.

Ashley and dr Baker were amazing, have taken my rat in the past and decided to take my new kitten, they helped ease my anxiety and treated my kitty like a little princess. I Could tell my kitty was comfortable with them!

My dog Rufus medical boarded with AHCS for 18 days. He is a 13 year old German shepherd who is on A LOT of medications, dog selective, and doesn't kennel well. I was out of country and contact was limited but the staff at this clinic went above and beyond with Rufus. They addressed all of his high maintenance needs. They were transparent and very communicative with me. As a dog mom being away for so long they made me feel so comfortable at all times. I was never once concerned about him or his care. I really wish I wasn't moving because it can be so hard to find a place like this. They are exceptional. As a veterinarian myself, I fully recommend this clinic for there vets, techs, kennel team, and management staff. I could not be any happier with their service. 100/10

Everyone is so lovely! Emma and Dr. Smith were so kind and understanding. Both answered any and all questions. Dr. Smith and Emma both handled my spicy cat with ease and I had no worries! I cannot praise them enough and will be returning for any and all care my fur babies might need!

Dr. Dan and team were amazing with our pup when we brought him in for GI issues. Dr. Dan was patient, knowledgeable and confident. He spent ample time with us answering our questions and providing lots of great information. Our tech was also super friendly, kind and efficient. It was a great experience overall.

Animal Hospital of Colorado Springs provides exceptional care. Appointments are easy to make, front desk/techs/vets are all very kind, and I can tell they truly care about the health of my cats. I trust all of the vets to do a great job but Dr. Dan especially goes above and beyond — friendly, caring, communicative, knowledgeable..He will take the time to answer questions thoroughly and explains things in a way that is easy to understand. They have a team of incredible, caring, trustworthy people here.

Dr. Dan is absolutely amazing. His character and knowledge landed him exactly where he should be, a veterinarian. He helped take care of my childhood cat years ago and managed his fatal diagnosis as comfortably and realistically as possible. Since then, I have brought my dog Molly to his care. Molly is a hyper pit bull and can be a handful to most people. Dr. Dan sits on the floor with her and gives her so much physical and verbal love it warms my heart. He always has a warm approach and is very knowledgeable when it comes to treating animals medically. I hope to have Dr. Dan around for as long as I have pets! The rest of the staff is also amazing when it comes to efficiency and empathy. Thank you ALL for what you do
