I love the Animal Medical Center of Chicago! They take such amazing care of our two dogs. The staff is so responsive, caring, and knowledgeable and the doctors are amazing.

It is definitely pricier than other vets I first tried when I moved to Chicago. But it is 100% worth it for me. You are able to reach someone when you call (LOVE the front desk staff and practice manager), you can schedule emergency and non emergency appointments in the near future, the doctors spend time with you and are not rushed and answer all of your questions, and you can text pictures and messages and get responses back quickly in between visits or as follow ups to visits, medication onsite, etc. etc.

When my dog was attacked by another dog at daycare, they squeezed her in for surgery immediately and did such an incredible job with her care ❤️

We've been seeing Dr. Solomon since 2019, and I regret not finding her sooner! She is simply the best—thorough, caring, and professional. She always takes the time to carefully diagnose and examine my dog, and I can genuinely see how much she and her team care about him. One of the things I appreciate most is her honesty when it comes to treatment, medication, and any extras; she never pushes anything that she doesn't think is necessary. The staff is always on top of everything, extremely responsive, and quick to send insurance claims right after our visits. While the services may be a bit on the pricier side, it's worth it because I want my dog to receive the best care and treatment possible. Parking is never an issue for us, as there are four spots available in the back alley or street parking in front of the building.

I love this vet so much! The front of house staff is so sweet. All the techs are incredibly professional and you can tell they genuinely love animals. Dr England is my absolute favorite veterinarian I’ve ever had for my kiddos. He’s thorough, consistent, knowledgeable and practical. If he recommends something, I know it’s the right thing to do, but he always lets you, the parent, make the final decision, without being pushy. He also explains things without assumptions and is available for questions. I bring all my pets here which include three cats and a dog.

Animal Medical Center is exactly the fear free veterinary clinic we were looking for. Unfortunately our shelter dog is pretty shy and had a bad experience at another vet that made him extremely anxious to return to any vet offices. Dr Simpson and the staff came up with a great plan to make sure his visits are comfortable and safe for everyone.

Thanks to Animal Medical Center for making sure he lives a happy and healthy life!

Recently moved back home to Chicago from California and was looking for a new vet for my pup.

I was very intentional about finding a vet that understood how to work with fearful dogs since my pup has a history of aggression with vets and doesn’t like to be touched. Getting exams and vaccinations has always been a stressful experience for both me and my 9 year old boy. This time was different.

From the moment we walked through the door, I was impressed by how welcoming, cozy, comfortable and calming the office is. It was a totally new experience for me and Phifer.

The vets were thoughtful, asked great questions and listened to my concerns. They offered a number of great solutions until we found one that worked (food!)

With some patience, TLC and few tasty treats, my pup had his vaccinations administered safely and successfully! No lunging, tackling, rolling or running, just some growling here and there.

The Animal Medical Center commits to fear-free care and they really live up to that promise. In our 9 years, this was the best visit we’ve ever had and I’m happy to have found our new home.

I have nothing but good things to say about this vet and its wonderful staff! When I found a pregnant cat and suddenly went from 1 cat to 6, I had no idea what to do! The staff at AMCOC were so helpful and kind, getting everyone the care they needed to thrive. Dr. Simpson, Dr., Behnke, William, Jo, and SO MANY other members of staff have been beyond caring and attentive to my pets, and I appreciate it more than anything. When my adult cat needed dental surgery, they went above and beyond to make him comfortable and calm. If you want your pets to have the love and care you would give them, this is your vet.

Wonderful wonderful clinic! My cat was throwing up a lot lately and the vets were incredibly kind and caring. Appointments are easy to make and they have parking in the back. The vet listened and discussed all the potential problems and issues. She went over courses of treatment options and I was told the prices up front. They were very gentle with my cat. I would absolutely return and I highly recommend them to take care of your pet.
I thought the prices were very reasonable too.

Absolute best veterinary practice I've ever encountered. My dogs have seen all the vets and especially love Dr. Solomon and Dr. Janik. The care and consideration they receive is extraordinary. Even when losing my older dog to a devastating cancer, Dr. Solomon remained unfailingly clear eyed, compassionate, and supportive. She then treated my surviving dog for the intense anxiety and stress that losing her pair-bonded friend induced. I love the experience, energy and flexibility this practice offers. The hours are great, they have emergency appointment slots, it's easy to fill medications, follow up care is consistent, and up to date on the medical literature. Best of all, the practice works with reactive, shy-fearful, and medically complex cases, which was a lifesaver after my rescues proved to be less than enthusiastic about vet visits.
