I was impressed with this animal clinic.
The vet i saw, Amy - was wonderful. I have 2 new kittens.... and they really seemed to care, spent time looking them over and answering all my questions. Reasonable fees also.
I also liked they made me aware of a 24hr close-by animal emergency hospital... just in case I need it..... if they are closed after business hours.
I will continue to use this animal clinic.

Really appreciated Dr Cook and staff at Animal Medical Clinic of St Charles! We drove our 7 year old Black Lab from IOWA expecting to have Arthroscopic surgery on his back knee. Of course our dog did not present any symptoms the day we went and seemed to be doing fine. Dr Cook said that ‘IF’ it was his dog, he would hold off on surgery and we really appreciated his honesty! You can tell that they put an animal’s needs first and foremost and THAT speaks volumes! If in the future our dog does need surgery, we will definitely be going to Animal Medical Clinic of St Charles!

Just wanted to add on that 4 years later, my dog still hasn’t needed surgery! Dr Cook suggested we have him lose weight, and after putting him on a diet, where I give him people food that includes REAL food and not over processed dog food, my dog lost 20 pounds in the 1st year and quit limping because of the excess weight!
I really appreciated Dr Cooks honesty of not doing a surgery too early if we could alleviate it by changing his diet instead! If I lived close to St Charles, I would most definitely be taking my dog back here!!!

I had my initial appt for my dog with Dr. Golden. My dog is almost 11 years old and has been with the same vet her whole life so changing was difficult. Dr. Golden was very warm, knowledgeable and welcomed my dog with open arms. The rest of the staff was also very welcoming. I feel confident this change will go well.

At my last appt I saw Dr. Amy with Jasmine. She was very professional and answered all my questions and concerns. Thanks Dr. Amy!

Every physician has been devoted to our concerns, and the techs and administrative staff are incredibly helpful. Truthfully, the team provides compassionate care for the humans as well! We have found it easy to make appointments, to order refills, to subscribe to prescription food, to reach a team member with our questions. Highly recommend.

Amazing place, mastiff/boxer 116 lbs needed a "acl" repair. Dr. Cook took the time to explain everything. All the different repairs their pros and cons. We were able to make a completely informed decision. We felt very secure in our decision and with Dr. Cook. We are very appreciative of him and his outstanding support staff.

Our healthy cat would be dead if we listened to this vet. This is a seemingly good vet… we’ve taken our 3 cats here for 12 years! This vet never showed us very many red flags until the actual veterinarian was being switched out often, one would leave and another would come in. Our oldest cat (going on 17) was diagnosed with kidney failure a year ago and was given 3-6 months to live by this vet. Loving our cat as much as we do we didn’t want to accept this and spiraled into research. Our research told us that the food we had been feeding our cats (generic pet store food like iams and max cat) was actually not good for them at all. This vet had always said that the food we were feeding the cats was just fine. Of course we got our cats healthier food (now feeding them R&D). After changing the food our 16 year old cat with “kidney failure” completely took a dramatic turn for the better. i am so happy to say that our cat has lived a year since she was given 3-6 months to live, I am so grateful that I fought for my cats life and didn’t just put her down like the vet said was a good idea. Look into what pet food is healthy and what is not and DO NOT come to this vet! It’s crazy that the vet told us there was no hope and no cure and simply healthier food has given our cat a second chance.
