Clean facility and sweet pups! The staff was very educated and informative when helping me chose my perfect match and the adoption process was a breeze! They also had awesome outdoor “get to know” play yards for adopters and volunteers to use. You can tell the pups are well taken care of ❤️

I recently had to pick up my 2 dogs there and I just absolutely cannot say enough good things about the staff. Professional, courteous, caring, friendly, knowledgeable , pleasant. They made everything seem easier but they didn't cut any corners or risk anyone's safety. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The place was very clean and unfortunately it was very full. I saw a lot of pitties there and I saw a remark sort of implying the staff was responsible for that. Which is ridiculous. Pit bulls are fantastic dogs and very misunderstood. If I had the resources I would have adopted several. They need exercise, love and care and aren't for everyone but the staff is in no way responsible for a lack of selection. It's not a pet store. They also aren't remotely responsible for a dogs reaction to you. Dogs are great character judges. Don't get near one if you're not a nice person, they rat you out real quick.

They get one star because ZERO is not an option. I’m not sure where to start but everyone in a higher up position, all the way to the ceo need to be investigated, evaluated and replaced. These “animal advocates” turn dogs away everyday and even tell police and citizens to go release them at the civic center. There is a 5 MILLION DOLLAR BUDGET ANNUALLY. They currently house about 55 dogs. I’m blown away and absolutely disgusted that this is our local shelter. WE NEED HELP AND CHANGE IMMEDIATELY. This has gone on far too long.

These people took these jobs because they like dogs, not people.
If you have dog cages or crates to donate, go to Goodwill. Fast, easy, polite, and they give you a receipt that does not say they value your donation at $0. And they are nicer.

We adopted Buddy(called Baby then) in June 2020. Staff truly cared about the dogs and were 100% honest about what we were getting ourselves into. Buddy has truly blossomed in our home, and I can't imagine a day without him.

I was leery about getting a Pit, but none of the stereotypes were true. He is, however, leery of adult strangers but loves kids and other dogs.

This place is no help I have called them and the police. This dog has been running for over a week says they are gonna come out and never do so. I have dogs of my own and just had a kidney removed does anyone know any place that will come get this dog?

My dog got out of my yard while I was at work. Thankfully someone in my neighborhood found him and took him here. He didn't have a tag, so they didn't know who to contact. Luckily I saw a Facebook post from the Lady who took him there and I was able to find and pick him up. While he was there...they took EXCELLENT care of him by washing him, covering him up with a blanket (which they let me keep and take him home in it) and giving him food and water. It was a cold and rainy day. So his body temperature was very low. The whole experience was scary for me...but they did an A+ job. Great staff of very caring people.
