I can’t recommend Animal Urgent Care of Hernando County enough! Dr. Bridges and all the techs staffed put me at ease and gave amazing care to my cat. Everyone was incredibly thorough and attentive to my cat’s health history and current needs. And everyone was extremely comforting and understanding of my concerns. The peace of mind and experience was worth every penny! I brought my baby home with good news today. If/when something urgent happens in the future, Animal Urgent Care of Hernando County will be the first place I call.

Our sweet senior German Shepard, was lethargic and wouldn't eat. She was breathing too fast. Having just moved here not long ago we hadn't established a new vet. We called and set a time to bring her in. From the minute we walked in the staff was amazing. They were obviously just as concerned for our girl as much as we were. They made sure she was comfortable first, which meant the world to me. We all talked and they explained what we could do. The Dr. came in and we decided bloodwork and x-rays were needed to verify what the Dr. felt what was going on. From the moment our sweet Bakara arrived one staff member kept giving our girl little treats. It was exactly what my girl needed.
The Drs. thoughts were confirmed. Our sweet baby girl needed her Angel wings. We were devastated. They told us we could take her home and spend more time with her and give her all her favorite foods and treats. Then bring her back when we felt it was time. That's what we did. The next day she wasn't feeling well at all so we had to give her her wings. The staff greeted us at the door with treats in hand. They had a quiet room all ready for us and soft blanket for my girl. Bakara was already smelling her pocket for more treats. Bless her heart, she had a handful of miniature candy bars! Bakara was given so much love and attention in the following hour. We couldn't prolong her wings any longer. She had to be free.
This was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. The ladies on staff here made this difficult time so personal & knowing it was the best thing for our sweet Bakara, who loved us so much. She only wanted to please us and protect us. She just wanted to be with me wherever that was. What a special, beautiful, sweet soul she had.
Many thanks and hugs to you ladies for helping us get through this time. You most certainly were God send to us. You laughed with us and cried with us. You will always be in my heart.

I can’t say enough good things about this animal urgent care! The staff is incredibly professional, compassionate, and attentive. From the moment we walked in, the environment was calm and welcoming, which made a big difference for both me and my dog. The doctor was thorough and took the time to explain everything, ensuring my pet got the best possible care. My dog, who can be a bit anxious in new settings, was surprisingly relaxed throughout the visit thanks to their gentle approach. It’s clear that they genuinely care about their patients and go above and beyond to provide excellent care. Highly recommend this place for anyone in need of quality and compassionate urgent care for their pets!

I would give them 5 more stars if i could. When my 19 year old dog Neddy let me know "it's time" my regular Vet couldn't fit us in and gave me the number here. What an outstanding staff, explained everything thoroughly, but more importantly showed so much compassion you would think it was their dog being put to sleep. It was a very hard day, so I'm sorry i don't remember the tech or the vets name, but thank you both from the bottom of my heart, you were both truly amazing!
Oh, and they don't gouge you on the prices because they are after hours emergency, it was very reasonable, and not made the focus of why you are there. If i ever need a Vet after hours this is the only place i would go.

We had an emergency with one of our dogs and they were able to take care of her right away. They were quick and efficient and all of the staff was amazing. The price was reasonable, pretty much what we were expecting coming in. Thank you for taking care of our sweet girl Snow!

Highly recommend. They were absolutely amazing though the whole process of my dog’s end of life care. So caring and compassionate. Let us take all the time we needed to say our goodbyes. The room was all setup for us when we got there. It was the little special touches that made all the difference in a sad situation.

Finally! A walk in clinic for your pet. This is a new welcoming facility with friendly staff and excellent care. They are open 3 to 10 pm, including Saturday and Sunday! I had some real concerns about my 9 week old puppy. I left feeling confident about the diagnosis and advice provided by the vet on staff. On top of everything they were transparent about the charges and gave me options. Check out their website, you can make an appointment online.
