Somewhat torn about this review. This is for the south location specifically. On the one hand, they’ve been good to us and our loved ones in the past…. On the other, some of their receptionists have been rude, others seemed to have forgotten we were there, the vets seem hit or miss, and they’ve never really given given us anything resembling a “discount” or “deal” for any reason despite us spending thousands of dollars and countless hours with them. I know they don’t owe us anything like that… but it would be nice to be tossed a pro tip every now and then like “you know, we have this $100 bottle of PeptoBismol, but you can get the same thing at Walmart or Kroger for $5 and avoid another $95 on your credit cards” or even “sorry for making you wait for four hours, we discounted your bill 10% to help offset the half day of lost wages.”

This place seems to be getting worse, I’m afraid. Most the time lately I feel like they’re just taking advantage of my vulnerability when my pets are sick/suffering. I don’t have kids so the pets get that care/attention/worry/love.

I know it’s just money. I’d spend it again a thousand times over if it means my pets suffer less one way or another. But that just makes me an easy mark, doesn’t it?

I like to think that well-run businesses can actually care about their customers. They don’t have to, but I like to believe that the good ones choose their customer’s best interest anyways. I used to believe that about Arlington South. It was nice because they were nearby, kept reasonable hours, and seemed to care about our family and our debt+prayer budget/indentured-servant income situation. Not because they had to, but because they could and they seemed like good people.

Now the people up front are rude, they’re more likely to forget you’re there than help you early, and you’re never getting out of there without eating at least another $500 of debt. I know that’s par for the course for service businesses now. Maybe I’m expecting too much. But compared to the same place 3 years ago? It’s much worse.

I genuinely hope it improves. The north location seems much better all around. So, I’ll go there or find a new vet.

Apologies for the meandering, entitled, whiny review. I’m sad to lose this place. It was good while it lasted. Hopefully it will be again someday.

They were really nice to me on the phone and helped set up an appointment for the next day and gave me an option to be seen the same day for a higher price. I was hesitant to call since the reviews are lower than other locations but they were very good to me and looking forward to visiting them at their north office this was for their south office telephone number.

They may be a little pricy, but they helped my fur baby treat his allergies. He was patchy-skinned and overweight but they've really made him feel better with the allergy medicine they recommended and an intense ear cleaning! Thanks guys. (Grey boy in photo)

Very unsatisfied with our experience at Arlington vet. Would highly recommend trying elsewhere, for your pet’s sake and your’s. They haven’t always been a below average vet, like this place literally saved my dogs life when he was a pup so i was as loyal of a customer as a business could possibly get. Although I’m still very grateful for what they did for my family, there’s been a huge shift that started when the guy running the place retired and his children took over everything. It’s not the same, at all. We’ve been trying for almost 2 years now to get rid of an ear infection but we can’t because we are given such a small number of antibiotics so the infection begins to clear up but we run out. So they tell us to make another appointment… this has happened at least 4 or 5 times! It’s obvious what they are doing here, 2 years and thousands of dollars later we’ve realized it’s way too good of money for them to give us the amount of antibiotics we actually need the first time. This place is trash compared to how it used to be!

I had given them a 4 star on previous visits but after I had to go thru with putting my Runt to sleep yesterday I def give them a 5 star rating. I'm not going to differ over prices when it comes to my fur babies i have the choice to spend or not for them to get them well or make them comfortable and at peace when I have to. Yes vets are expensive but when it comes to loving your animal or human family members that's what it takes . I was so sad yesterday and they was all so very kind to us while we said goodbye to our Runt ... thank you for that ... 🌹 you have no idea what that means to me at a time I was just broken ...

The staff were competent enough. However, they never answer their phone, so scheduling via phone is impossible. Also, they are often randomly closed during their listed operating hours, so scheduling is doubly impossible. Sufficiently frustrating to earn 1 star.

We have had a wonderful experience with Arlington being our vet! Since we became dog owners a year ago, we have received nothing short of amazing care from the staff at Arlington. Our dog Cruise has had a couple minor health issues and they have done a wonderful job caring for him. They are upfront and provide very detailed information with pricing for services and have always been very kind during our visits. Today we took him in hoping to get him seen, as he had woken up with an eye infection. The receptionist was very kind and quick to assist us. She spoke with the doctor and they agreed to see him immediately. He was also close to being due for his annual vaccinations so they kindly offered to do those as well, to save us a another trip. As two pet owners who are busy parents in the medical field, the convenience was greatly appreciated. He was examined, treated with antibiotic ointment, and we were given the opportunity to speak with the doctor regarding any questions or concerns and given detailed instructions regarding his medication and what to expect and keep an eye out for. While I was there, I witnessed them answering numerous calls, answering questions and assisting others with concerns regarding their pets. Just in the short time that I was there, I completely understood why they may not be able to answer the phone quickly or returns calls as quickly as some may like. They truly take time to listen to their customers. While checking out, I overheard the receptionist talking with another pet owner who was there to seek potential end of life care for their 16 year old dog. Again, I witnessed compassion, kindness, and a receptionist who was going above and beyond to help someone who was clearly at a very difficult moment of their life. I just wanted to express my gratitude to the staff at Arlington for not only the care that my dog, Cruise, received today but also for the empathy and compassion your staff demonstrated today with others. We are so fortunate to have you in our community to care for our pets. Thank you for all that each of you do! (The photo is of Cruise getting a pup-cup from Jiffy Treat after our appt today.)
