UPDATE: Had to go back, and this visit was 6 days. Forgot, on day they released me, said bout an hour with all needing done. Got ivs out, papers signed, ect... sis went to get car.... another hr nearly and lady came in to clean room. She kinda freaked out asking who i was, why am i there, room was supposed to be empty! I told her had been waiting to go, and sis been outside waiting... she got someone to finally get me downstairs!!!.....There were a couple of attentive people, but more felt like they'd rather be doing anything else. My iv put in by emt driver kept unsticking because of blood and meds. NO ONE cleaned it to stick to me, just put more layers of tape on what was there. I was on fall risk, which couple days in er area wasn't too bad, but they got me to a room finally, and changed. I was still on fall risk, and had to go to bathroom. 'Miles' came and helped me get up, got me to bathroom door, asked if I was ok. I thought he meant ok to potty, and said yes. When I got done, he was no where around, so I struggled back to bed. Bed rail never got put back up, so I just started going when I needed to, and family helped also. I know there's more patients, and I hardly ever asked for assistance, but with blood clots, cancer, and as they ONLY told me at checkout couple days later, apparently heart failure. I told 2 workers who kinda zoom in and out, about depression from helplessness feeling, that was that. Two drs came at different times, spoke about a minute or two each- one actually even finally looked at swelling.... but nothing from them again whole time. A lady from one office came and told me they'd send stuff home where I could look at signing up for meals at home,ect... but nothing of any sort was sent. There was a young man in er, I believe his name was Logan?, but I am thankful of him. People had my clothes down to hook stuff to me, and I was wanting to breathe, but all these people going by, and Logan went over and closed the door, so I could have a lil feeling of dignity, and he did ck on me various times. A special thank you to him!!
The wick( potty help) apparently was not turned on after a change, and told a nurse I felt wet. HOURS later, a different nurse realized I was soaked, as diuretic had me peeing OFTEN, and they got me up, finally gave me a gown instead of my own shirt I'd been in, and changed bedding. The nurse call button in 549 didn't work much, no one could understand anything, so that made some difficulty in assisting. A younger female dr did come tell me, I needed to stay longer, and talked bit more to me, and sometimes, as a scared, ill patient, a bit of conversation helps to understand this frightening things happening to your body, and mind. I know there's lots of patients, but twice my daughter went to ask question, my sister might have also, but said 4 nurses standing by desk, acted as if was a big inconvenience for them to disrupt their laughing- showing stuff on phone, to come help with oxygen and needed help. I will add pics soon. Banana was bit brown, and saw that plug, which I was sure sup to be attached to something... was not. Ad lib written on my board... ?

My daughter was admitted recently and while the wait in the ER was about 6/7 hours. Everyone was really pleasant and it was a Friday night, which means pretty busy. My daughter’s stay at the mental health unit was good. They have groups to go to and personal time to watch movies, color, and do what they can. You have to bring their own clothes but if you don’t have it right away they try to find something to help until you can. The rooms where she was were single bed rooms with a bathroom. Overall it seemed like a needed experience and the staff were friendly and professional whenever I went in to visit.

Most everyone was nice, a few weren't. Recovery room was marginal, she didn't listen to me when I needed help. Could've been better. Nurses and nurse anesthesiologist was great and very nice!

It did take over 24 hrs in the ER for me to finally get a room upstairs. Waiting times need to get better. That waiting when you don't feel good doesn't help. However once I got up stairs the day & nite nurses were wonderful . Very helpful to my needs which weren't too demanding. Major props to the day and night nurses on schedule for room 548 from 1/17/25 - 1/22/25. Food was good able to pick off the menu what you wanted to eat whatever restrictions you had. If you forgot to order by a certain time, they sent a tray of the chef special for that day. Only messed up on the food order once but sent up the correct item ASAP. Have been in the hospital five other times because of my levels being low. The only problem has been waiting in the ER to get a bed upstairs. That needs to get better.
