My adult son called me the other day and said his guinea pig was sick its his first pet of his own since he moved out he also has autism so this little furball ment so much to him . We called all over pope and yell county and could find no one who treated guinea pigs including Dr. Hamm well my son couldn't watch his little Tiffany suffer so he asked me who could put her to sleep and that wasn't easy for him to do so i called back to see if they could do that for us and they said they could so my wife drove my son to Atkins and after Dr. Hamm saw how this was affecting my son he said lets see what we can do so he brought out a book and spent 30 min. reading about common illnesses with GP he gave her meds and told my son what to feed her to boost her vitamin C he didnt even charge for the meds and told my son if it didnt help he would put her down at no extra cost . Well she died that night but i will never forget what he did for my son and will never use another vet .

I've used this Vet for several dogs and cats over the 30? Years and always been highly satisfied with anything done, from shots to surgeries! Wish I could get in faster for routine stuff sometimes but they are busy! It's only one mile from my house as well which makes it extra nice.

Dr Scott Hamm has seen my pets since shortly after I moved to Atkins in the late 90s. He saw all the rescues we took in during our rescuer days, and has always been straight forward and honest with us. His soft spokeness and calm demeanor immediately put the animals at ease, and it is much appreciated by myself when it's an emergency situation & I'm feeling high strung. Even though we moved back to Guy, AR, I know that if I needed advice on a medical situation with an animal, he's just a phone call away & that is a comfort. Scott, as my late step-momma would've said, "Is good people. And that's worth it's weight in gold."
