I’ve meant to write this a million times, but am just starting to come out of the other side of grieving the loss of my cat, Winnie. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Williams, Nurse Vicky, Fiona at the front desk, and the rest of the amazing staff at Atlantic Coast. My cat had HCM and a few other issues, and I would often bring Winnie to Atlantic Coast because Dr. Williams was his cardiologist. Dr. Williams answered every single one of my questions every single time I called or emailed, or came in, she never ever made me feel overbearing, or like I didn’t know my cat best. Dr. Williams is an incredible doctor, she really talks you through everything, explains complicated medical terminology to you in a way that makes it easy to understand, and is always patient and kind. She is incredibly professional and so knowledgeable and you can tell she really cares about the animals in her care. My husband and I went through some of our hardest moments with Winnie in Dr. Williams’ presence, and her professional demeanor, compassionate, and kind nature are something I will remember for the rest of my life. Dr. Williams made us feel like we were never alone, and had a partner to turn to when it came to managing Winnie’s medical needs, and I can’t express my gratitude enough to her or her team. Above all, Dr. Williams is honest, straightforward, and always looked out for the welfare of Winnie and his quality of life. Managing a condition as tough as HCM is often a balancing act, and Dr. Williams always knew how to approach this. She was Winnie’s biggest advocate, even when I sometimes couldn’t be. I don’t think there is any way to encompass everything Dr. Williams did for my cat (or us) to try to save him and manage his condition in the longer term, or really express what the rest of the team did for us, but I will forever be grateful to them. They are family in my eyes, and I can’t recommend them enough. I am forever grateful to Atlantic Coast, and to Dr. Williams, Nurse Vicky, Fiona, and all the other members of this team. Thank you for your service.

It is easy to have a reputation management company help to push down negative reviews on Google. While the Google reviews show a 4 star rating, the BBB has Atlantic coast at a D- In my opinion that is even too high. I am not surprised to see the reviews others have left, I am flabbergasted at the lack of care and concern by the staff. I was referred to Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialist by my primary care veterinarian. In my opinion and apparently many other people's opinion (based on other reviews) this is a horrible place to go if you have a pet that needs critical care. This review has nothing to do with the Doctors on staff but with the Atlantic Coast office staff. They are NASTY, and uncaring, failing to provide my dog’s necessary prescription in a timely manner and then “reprimanding” me for being upset that his prescriptions weren’t filled. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED such a horrible lack of care or empathy at any other facility. . We are fortunate we live on Long Island with a plethora of options for specialized care for our beloved animals. I IMPLORE you to explore other options. Our pets rely on us to advocate for them, please heed my advice and go elsewhere. Read the other negative reviews on BBB and Google . Sort by rating. You will see there is a pattern with the horrific care from the staff. You deserve better!

We brought my kitty Stelly in for emergency on Thursday morning. She was on the floor and wouldn’t get up. The doctor and team at this office are PHENOMENAL!!!! Dr. Shabbing saved my baby’s life. He was amazing!! Her heart rate was 380!!! Thank God they worked fast. We brought her home 24 hours later and are learning about a new life on medication. THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY BABY GIRL

I felt compelled to write a review so others would not have the same upsetting experience. While my pet received acceptable clinical care, the customer service here is absolutely terrible and certainly not something anyone should have to deal with when their pet is sick. The young, inexperienced receptionist was unprofessional and refused to let me speak to a vet to discuss a few questions after my dog was discharged from an overnight hospital stay. Despite being told by the clinical staff that I could call with follow-up questions until I got my dog to a neurologist the following week, she insisted I had to bring my dog back into the emergency department. She was combative, lacked compassion, and blocked all communication with the clinical team. It’s a shame that one receptionist is damaging their reputation and driving customers away.

I had such a wonderful experience here. It was worth the trip here from Queens. My dog was limping and couldn't walk on his two back legs. I had such a very bad experience with a previous 24 hour vet a day before bringing him to Atlantic Coast Vet. After a bunch of googling and calling around Atlantic Coast Vet had a same day appointment for my dog to see the neurologist. Dr. Lopez was patient and very caring for my dog Xavier. She explained everything to us. I am grateful for Atlantic Coast Vet Specialists and Dr. Lopez. My dog Xavier is doing very well with the meds she prescribed him. If any issues in the future I will be sure to bring my dog here. Thank you for everything.
