It's been a little over a year since this event happened and I've been sitting on the fence whether or not I should be even posting this. Considering it nearly killed my rabbit I should let the public know that this could happen to you too.
A little over a year ago my husband and I did research to try to find a veterinary clinic and a veterinarian who would be able and has the ability to neuter my rabbit. We looked around to all of the different clinics and made very many calls. This was one of the locations that indicated to us that they knew what they were doing and they were more than capable of neutering our rabbit. I remember initially being very worried and concerned because they had not done it technically before and that made me concerned. Everything seemed okay and we went through with the neutering. My husband went to go pick up my rabbit and asked the veterinary clinic 21 questions about how to take care of him, how to keep him still, how do you make sure that he's okay and make sure that if something was wrong, that we would know what to do and where to go. The veterinary clinic on duty decided to make fun of him and to pretty much treat him like an idiot. Not long after he was home that would be about an hour or two we noticed that he was not okay and we weren't sure because we reassured that everything was okay and that his health would be just fine. This is about the time we made our first phone call to try and figure out what was going on. With no response follow up or answer from this facility.
About midnight we noticed that he was still acting erratically in there was starting to look like there is blood. At one point I realized that he was messing with his lower region a lot more than he needed to be and I just picked him up and when I did he started gushing blood everywhere. We didn't know what to do so we wrapped him in a towel and tried to keep pressure on his lower region. We ended up going to a hospital veterinary clinic in North Pole. They indicated to us that the facility did not ever do rabbits and never indicated that they knew what they were doing to anybody outside of just me and my husband, if we hadn't brought my rabbit he would have died.
We tried to reach the veterinary clinic and try to ask them for help and to help them help us save our rabbit and we could not reach them.
I pray to God that this is a this is not a consistent thing for this company and this clinic but for us we nearly lost our animal and we had no follow-up from the veterinary clinic and nobody seemed to care coming from this business so beware you might lose your animal if you send them to this company.

I have taken all my dogs to Cort. Even in his absence the "fill in" vet was wonderful. I had a dog that had an endocrine issue and she was diagnosed quickly and put on meds that corrected her issue. He is down to earth and not big business type. He has spayed one of my son's puppy and she did great. I wouldn't want to take my dogs to anyone else. Prices are reasonable and service/treament is great.

My cat got spayed here last year and after being spayed was still going into heat. I took her back to get spayed again because it was clearly an incomplete spay and they acted like I was crazy for thinking she was in heat. They found part of her uterus after spaying her a second time and assured me it was all taken care of. The next month she went into heat again. So I now have to take her to a different vet and pay for her to be spayed a third time.

I went to this clinic two separate times and the lady who runs it had a stuck up, arrogant attitude both times. Not sure who else has dealt with this here.

Anyone who needs a vet, even for something minor, presumably an ear infection, should got to Cort at Ballaine Veterinary Clinic. He runs it out of his house, I think, so he prices are reasonable but he just called me back, at 10 pm, about my pup so he could send out meds for her ear infection even though his day was crazy. I will never take a dog somewhere else until he retires.

Cort is a great vet! My Bichon was attacked by a pitbull and he was on the brink of death. Cort performed surgery and saved his life. I also bring my kitten to the Ballaine vet clinic and they are very nice and helpful. Highly recommended!

“You get what you pay for”. Their price may seem tempting but their blood tests aren’t complete and they didn’t treat my cat with antibiotics. Ordering blood tests were my idea and I wasn’t called, I had to call them twice for results. The girl at the front desk wasn’t competent in drawing blood and they kept insisting both cats needed to be sedated. My 2nd cat is 16 yrs old and compliant and they asked me to come back. My first cat might actually need to be put down because her underlying condition wasn’t diagnosed and her upper respiratory infection wasn’t even treated, which put her in bad shape. My cat might die because of their carelessness. The place isn’t sanitary so spend extra to go to a better clinic. I never had any problems with Cort, but new vet lady and front desk girl aren’t worth your hard earned money. You may end up paying for another test like we had to elsewhere. Go to Aurora Vet instead.
