Recently had to put our sweet Maya to rest due to circumstances beyond our control and she was so scared of the vet normally so I dreaded taking her knowing how scared she would be but at Bluegrass they had a back door entrance and it was just Maya and us in there, separate from the other animals and in a cazy little room. She was not scared and she had all the snacks she could have wanted. They showed such love and compassion and made a sad experience as good for us as possible. We really love this place.

Had an emergency for my cat on the trip home and this was on the way! It was a walk in day so they considered me a walk in. Thought that was amazing! They were all so kind and wonderful! Reasonably priced! They absolutely loved my cat and made her feel right at home! Highly recommend!

I love Bluegrass. It's clean and professional. We usually see Dr. Kate (whom we think is awesome) but everyone I've associated with thus far have been knowledgeable, friendly, polite and as helpful as can be.

Dr. Edds and the staff at Bluegrass took care of my greyhound after she was diagnosed with cancer. Surgery was performed, knowing that not all of the tumor would be able to be removed. Dr. Edds was very aggressive in removing as much of it as possible and was able to give me another (almost) 2 years with my sweet baby, Casserole. When it was time for Casserole to cross the Rainbow Bridge, Bluegrass provided the best experience I could have hoped for. It was one of their insanely busy walk-in days, and it felt like the entire staff stopped what they were doing to come say goodbye. They showered Cassie with scritches, sweet words, pulled pork and peanut butter. It was one of the hardest days of my life, and the compassion that was shown to me and my fur-baby is something I will never forget and that I’ll always be thankful for.
Despite living in Cookeville, I have and will continue to make the trip to Bluegrass for my pets’ needs.

Amazing. The staff and Dr. were amazing. You can tell they care about your fur babies and you. Dr Wilson was amazing. As a walk in for our baby she kept us informed even when she was the only Vet on staff with a full house. She was just as concerned for our baby as we are. She wanted to find an answer for us. When she couldn’t, she called me and set a plan in place. She gave me things to look out for, and a treatment she plan in place. She called me in the middle of her shift to let me know how our dog was doing. When we went to pick him up, the staff were so welcoming and made us feel important. We switched vets to them right then and there. No second thoughts. Thank you guys. So much.

Just wanted to post a 6mo. update pic of our precious fur baby Nova after being under the care of Dr.Kristen Edds and the Bluegrass Vet Clinic and staff. She is doing AMAZING and we're so GRATEFUL for Bluegrass! Can't sing their praises enough! If you'll look back on the September pic I posted she was so very sick and with the healing power's of God and help from BLUGRASS she's doing so much BETTER! Thank you so much!

My dad took his cat here. They said he was anemic. They gave antibiotics for anemia and no iron drops. Why give antibiotics you may ask well because they want money. The cat probably would have lived if he had gotten a good vet who provided iron drops. So this place let his cat die who he loved so much. I do not recommend anyone going.

Our kitten, Mini, was having a severe medical emergency. When we rushed into their office, the Blue Grass team, quite literally, dropped what they were doing to begin immediate fluids and testing on her. They then gave us space and peace to say our goodbyes, when things weren't looking in her favor. From their care, Mini began to perk up suddenly. Dr.Edds then successfully diagnosed her with toxoplasmosis and explained treatment thoroughly. This team is the most compassionate, intelligent, and diligent group of animals lovers. You couldn't ask for a better office to care for your pet family. They saved our girl and we can't thank them enough.
10/10 kittens & puppies recommended
