Great animal clinic for all your pets needs. From routine physical exams, medical needs, boarding, and dog training. I have been taking my pups there for a year now and every time I come in the staff is welcoming and professional. My first encounter was with a vet tech named Hailey. She is absolutely amazing and is the reason we keep going back. Make the right choice for your fur babies and use this clinic!!

I absolutely love this vet. Dr. Keener and Dr. Dove go above and beyond to make sure your pet gets the best care. The staff is so nice! I can’t recommend this place enough. I’ve been to several vets who had half the knowledge that these vets do. They are educated and will do their best to help your pet! 10/10!

We have used BCRAH for many years. Our Cooper absolutely loves everyone there. We saw Dr. Keener yesterday for his yearly shots and examine. She is wonderful. She sat on the floor with him until he was ready to walk up to her. The techs were very thorough and helpful. Every time we have seen Dr. Keener, we appreciate her more and more. Cooper does all his grooming there with Cam and absolutely loves his time getting groomed. He also goes to Little Leaf for day care and comes home happy and tired. We can not say enough kind words about the treatment our Cooper gets at Boat Club Road Animal Hospital.

My dog was ill and I had an appointment for Wednesday evening but called on Monday morning to see if I could get in earlier. Nothing was available. April called me back later that afternoon to let me know something had opened up. I was so appreciative.
Samantha met us with a smile upon arrival. I was so happy to meet with Hailey for the initial consultation. My dogs Birdie and Frank absolutely adore her, and she always makes us feel so welcome. We met with Dr. Dove, who is very easy to talk to and always listens to my concerns. Her knowledge is invaluable, and her genuine concern and fondness for her patients shines through. Thank you Boat Club team for what you do!

We have seen Dr. Martin a couple of times for my ferrets. She always takes her time with them and extremely transparent, honest, and knowledgeable.

We have also seen Dr. Dove for our husky, and she was equally amazing. She took her time with him and really made him comfortable (with cheese, of course).

What I love the most here is that they made the appointment truly about our pet and not about $$$ and up-selling services or products.

Lastly, we very unexpectedly lost our Husky. The whole staff was truly amazing helping us through this event. Their empathy and support will not be forgotten..

Pretty disappointed with my experience today. My dog was scheduled for a nail trim and bordetella shot. I asked the receptionist on the phone if they can check a cyst on her side while she’s there as well and she said yes. When I took her in for the appointment they said I’d have to make another appointment for the cyst. They also said she was scheduled for a heartworm test which I didn’t ask for and was not mentioned on the phone. I then leave and put her in the car and notice blood all over the back seats. I took her back and they knew they cut her nails too short stating she “packed it several times” but didn’t mention it before I left. Mind you, my appointment was at 10 am and they took another dog before mine who was scheduled for after her appointment. Not very professional in my opinion. I’ve never had an issue here before but hopefully the staff can make some adjustments!

We have 3 dogs (until very recently, it was 4)... And, Dr. Louisa Martin and her staff have been straightforward, but also understanding and compassionate with us. Less than 60 days after we lost one of our babies, we had another at the ER for an injury. Walter suddenly wasn't using his hind legs and he's an older, arthritic guy. He'd already pulled his neck earlier this year using our Chi's ramp. This time, we think he hit his back on the doggie door (which we have now retired). He has a history of being energetic with less-than-full control. The first ER said to euthanize him (and claimed he would never walk and could not urinate or defecate on his own--none of this turned out to be true), but we got a second opinion at a second ER that gave us hope. That ER got him comfortable and had a specialist read his X-rays. We called our regular vet (BCRAH/Little Leaf) the following Monday and they worked us in and ordered the ER records immediately! I couldn't believe they were able to see him so soon. I was just completely inappropriate with tears and worry, but (as always) Dr. Louisa was SO understanding and talked us through everything... And answered all of our (many) questions. She gave him a thorough exam and medicine. We were never given guarantees, but she showed us that he was starting to correct his foot positioning and that he had sensation in both his hind legs. She recommended strict crate rest. We asked about cold laser therapy, because the second ER recommended that as a possibility. Both BCRAH and Little Leaf perform this on-site! Isaac has been his tech for several treatments and he's just a wonderful human being! With cold laser treatments along with the crate rest and a temporary medicine... WOW. After a few days, he was doing his potty outings in a sling, supported, but walking--using all 4 legs! He started eating sitting up, and without assistance. Now, we both take him out for potty breaks and walk alongside him, but he no longer has to use the sling! He now eats sitting or standing on his own. We're still working on progress, but he is improving every day. This hospital doesn't dismiss the value of our senior pets, but looks at the whole picture and strives to give them a good quality of life for as long as possible.
