I want to start by acknowledging that I’m not the easiest customer... I tend to experience a lot of anxiety when it comes to making the right decisions for our pups.

With that said, I’d like to share our experience at Bond Vet Hoboken. From the very beginning, we’ve had nothing but positive and exceptional interactions with the team. When our 13-year-old Corgi became very ill and had to be put to sleep, the compassion and support from the staff at Bond made an incredibly difficult time a bit easier. We knew when we were ready to adopt again that we would return to Bond Vet.

Sure enough, we adopted two puppies last year, and most recently, we had them neutered by Dr. Kerry McLaughlin. Dr. McLaughlin was wonderful — she took the time to answer all of our questions and was incredibly thorough in her care. We knew what was happening every step of the way and she called me personally to provide updates. I can honestly say that EVERYONE at Bond Vet Hoboken is amazing. From Debbie at the Surgery Consultation Center to the vet techs who guided us through the process, to our regular vet, Dr. Erin Harker, we’ve felt nothing but confidence in their ability to care for our sweet pups.

Thank you to the entire team for your patience, understanding, and for reassuring me through my worries. We are so grateful to have you all taking care of Moose and Newton!

My boyfriend and I adopted a rescue pup (Nova) in September and immediately established Bond as our regular vet. Last week, the rescue center did Nova’s spay for free. When I picked her up, she was shaking and cried for the entire rest of the day (which I know can be normal, but is important for later in this review when I compare her behaviors following the rescue center vs Bond Vet). The day after her spay (Friday the 20th), I noticed the surgery site looked herniated. I contacted the rescue vet but he said he didn’t think it was an emergency and that he wasn’t able to see Nova until Monday (today the 23rd). When he saw her today, he told us that it was in fact a hernia, however that he couldn’t fix it until Thursday as he didn’t have anyone available to help him. He gave us sedatives and said we needed to keep Nova sleepy until Thursday or else her outer glued suture would break open and she would likely die. My boyfriend and I didn’t feel comfortable with this situation — waiting another 3 days, continually drugging Nova, the risk of her surgery site opening. I want to say that the employees at the rescue center were kind and giving us the resources that they were able to — but we immediately went to Bond Vet for a second opinion. They had an appointment available almost immediately which was amazing. The vet techs / vet explained to us the risk of waiting another few days, such as her intestines being blocked and potentially dying. We opted to do the surgery with them today. They were thorough, emotionally supportive during a really difficult time for a young couple like us where Nova is our first pet, and I think they even moved appointments around to fit Nova in. They called us right after the surgery and explained that her bladder had slipped through the hernia and was bruised, so we are very very thankful that we didn’t wait any longer to get this procedure. When we picked Nova up, she looked like she was having the best time ever! Like she hadn’t even had a surgery. The employees at Bond Vet even gave her a cute bandana and a certificate of bravery. Any vet is expensive, but we would pay anything for our baby to have the excellent care she received today. My only regret is not bringing Nova to Bond sooner. We are so grateful for this group. Special thank you to Dr. Kwon, Dr. Nagle, Lexis, Gabby, and Arissa! Nova loves you ❤️

Dr. Natalie Nagle was amazing with my cat Benny, so caring towards him, he was very stressed out but he was able to get through it thanks to Dr. Nagle and the other lovely vet assistant. Dr Nagel listened to my concerns and was able to provide her knowledge to me and potential solutions to Benny’s issue. At the end of the appointment she showed me exactly what we were going to do and the price breakdown before we went ahead so there was no surprises. I will definitely be making this our new vets since we moved from Long Island. The Reception area is also lovely for your animal whether you have a dog or cat. Visits to the vets are never the best situation for owner or animal but this is the vets you want to go to for the easiest experience. I will be recommending whenever I can. Thank you all so much!

Mixed feelings on Bond Vet. Great for convenience, as I needed an immediate appointment for my pet. Wasn’t necessarily an emergency visit but something I wanted to come in sooner rather than later. Place was clean and the vet, Dr Kwon was nice.

My concerns were more around the fact that this is a “chain” vet and not the actual location itself. First, it was hard to get a hold of the location via phone. It seemed as though I called a central call center and was transferred. I found more success with email, but that isn’t always ideal. The other issue were the prices I was quoted for a dental cleaning. They were very high in my experience so I checked out another vet in the area. The estimate I received from the other vet, which is almost exactly the same line by line, was half of what Bond estimated.

10/10. I have been to another bond location and I can say this location is so much better. They actually listen and care for my pets. I've had multiple vets repeatedly tell me things about my dog kiwi's diet, I always questioned them. So, I always ask whenever I meet a new vet and today clarified everything I've been thinking. Thank you for your amazing team!!

This is by far the most disorganized vet office I have ever been in. Brought my dog for diarrhea issues. Paid about $100 for probiotics due to what they said was over nutrition due to farmers dog. After giving probiotics, my dog began having a swollen anal gland on thanksgiving day. Went back the day after and it had already burst. Was told what he needed would be a cleaning of the gland and antibiotics to help heal the wound and allow it to close. During that visit, the vet kept “forgetting” other items he needed and when all was said and done the price went from about $600 to over $900 for everything. After being given what we thought was everything, we had to return three times because they forgot to give us three items, his leash and two items for antibiotics and creams. Scheduled an appointment for ten days later for 7PM to follow up. Arrive at 6:45 only to be told our appointment is at 730PM. And the anal gland did not heal after they said it would. Avoid this place as they are forgetful, disorganized, and overpriced.
