Easily the best veterinarian clinic we've been to. Dr. Duvall was amazing. She helped diagnose our pet's condition when other vets had missed it. Her out of office communication was responsive and prompt. Dr. Duvall and the rest of the clinic showed so much care and regard for our pet's situation. I would highly recommend using this clinic.

Briarlake was recommended to me by my trainer and I am so happy with our first visit. My rescue is super fear reactive so we had a consultation. The energy there is so calm and welcoming, and even my nervous wreck dog was less obnoxious.

We got taken back very quickly. They are so accommodating and work with you. Laura (I hope) was the absolute best when she took his info. Seriously she was awesome and really put me at ease.

Dr Hochel took time to explain everything for me and discussed options, and then worked within Charlie’s nervousness to give him a quick exam. They were both so wonderful with him. The bill was extremely reasonable, even with medication on.

Briarlake is worth the drive for this vet, and I’m so glad to have them in our corner.

Called up to the office looking for a an appointment for my dog because we are new in the are and need a new vet. I explained we needed an urgent allergy shot and asap. I did share all the times over the next week that we were available. I was put on hold while “they found an appointment” for 10 minutes. When the person returned they were not aware of anything. Which is fine, but then she started blaming the other person instead of just apologizing. From that interaction I knew that communication and fully taking responsibility for my dogs care would be an issue here.

A dear, trusted friend recommended this clinic for my new, extremely anxious (extremely!!) beloved rescue pup. The vet tech Kathleen and Dr. Hiro sat on the floor, let my pup warm up to them (she’s so anxious, warming up can take months), and Zion let them pet and examine her. They are both so patient, compassionate, affirming of the massive achievements for her to even come inside and be around new people. I cannot imagine a more nurturing environment and professionals who truly hold the animal’s best interests as the highest priority. Dr. Hiro and his staff took as much time as my girl needed, thoroughly explained every detail, and encouraged both of us (and the prices are very fair, especially considering the level of care and time they invest in each furry family member). We switched to Briarlake Animal Hospital in Nov of 2023. We have 11 year old cats (sisters). The yearly check up was so calm and lovely. The staff was kind and helpful, the vet and tech were SUPER informative and explained everything. Turns out both needed teeth cleaning so we took them in yesterday for that. They stayed in touch with us ALL DAY, the vet called me TWICE, once after cleaning each cat's teeth, to let me know how they're doing and what the results were. And when we went to pick the up, the staff were all super supportive, helpful with at home care info, and came to tell us how much the loved having our babies there. And Dr. Hiro came out (he did the procedures) to check in. 100% love this practice and will say and recommend.

Dr. Hochel has been caring for our pets for over 15 years, so it was a no brainer that we would want to continue to have her as our Vet in the new practice recently opened by her and her husband, Dr. Hiro. Yesterday was our first visit and we were not surprised to find a clean, well designed reception area with incredibly friendly staff waiting to assist us, including Sonja, the Vet Tech, who was fantastic. We were there with our cat, Kiki. Dr. Hochel came in and completed Kiki's annual exam and rabies injection. As always, she was kind and gentle and carefully explained everything to us as she went. We know from experience that she is just as exceptional at taking care of dogs as she is with cats. Dr. Hochel has been with us through happy times when we adopted new pets and through sad times when we had to say goodbye to beloved older ones. She is so skilled and so compassionate that we just can't imagine going anywhere else. We received a follow up email after our visit advising of test results along with a link to their online pharmacy, which is incredibly user friendly. We wholeheartedly recommend Briarlake Animal Hospital.
