My dog, Akasha needed emergency surgery. I called Burton Creek and the gave me an 8am next day appointment. I could not afford the life saving surgery Akasha needed. The vet techs and staff at Burton Creek went above and beyond. I can't put into words how amazing this clinic is. I was able to get the surgery to save Akasha. They were kind and understanding. They took really good care of her. They charged less than they could have and did the procedure even though I didn't have all the funds up front. I would give this clinic a thousand stars if I could. If you are considering this clinic, know that they will do the best for your animal. From the bottom of my heart, Burton Creek, thank you so much. Akasha and I have so much love for all of you. <3

Wonderful experience treating our cat for an orthopedic issue he needed surgery for. Dr.Kidd and Lichelle were both so skilled and kind. We drove from Reno, NV and they made they entire experience and scheduling easy for us. Provided excellent post-op care instructions, and text and email options to contact them if we had any concerns through recovery. Such great care for our cat. Highly recommend

We had a very scary experience Friday morning when my dog got her bone stuck around the bottom part of her jaw. I live in Incline Village, so we instantly drove to our local vet who ended up being closed. A quick search and I found Burton Creek and called them about our emergency. They told me to come over and they would help as soon as they could. When we arrived they were able to take my dog straight back to look at and kept me updated on every step. I’m so thankful for the wonderful team at this office. They were able to take care of latte quickly and with so much kindness. Thank you all so much!! Ps. We now have new rules about these bones

Took my dog here for an ACL repair, the team was incredible at explaining what needed to happen and calming my nerves. It was a very scary time and they really took the time to help me understand not only the procedure, but the healing period and what it required. They took such good care of my dog, the surgery went smoothly, and I felt supported even in the months after the surgery while my dog was healing. Highly highly recommend.

Amazing experience from scheduling the appointment to getting the medication for my 10 year old Rottweiler. Dr. Kidd was able to determine likely diagnosis and finding best treatment after his physical examination. Staff was all super friendly and facility was very nice and clean.

Dr. Kidd was really awesome and took great care of our girl. She had a couple mast cell tumors removed, one of which was in a very tricky spot. Highly recommend!

ORIGINAL REVIEW 1/1/22
Really happy with our experience with everyone at Burton Creek!

UPDATE 1/2/23
we are still extremely happy with the crew here. Kathari (don’t know how to spell) at Reception is extraordinarily considerate and efficient. She has impressed us in learning fast and taking over a challenging role!!
We have seen both Dr Buckton and Dr Nick and have two animals under their care. One animal has a very complicated health history and they are doing great to continually support us.
They do an excellent job in managing the medications and food he needs too.

Update 9/20/24: earlier this week I called to request an emergency appointment for one of my animals and they told us they would call us back. It’s two days later and I just called and the reception said: “do you not know they don’t want you as a patient anymore?” Feedback: They don’t have the ability to help people with disabilities. They shoved us around and we’re not patient to explain things to us in term we understood on the office side. Super sad. We had a solid relationship with the vet. This week an emergency came up and they told us to kick rocks but actually did it by ignoring us until we asked again. Guess there’s more people and they get to start choosing like that. Feels super unfair I just wanted my animals well cared for. There are a few staff members who have told me they very much enjoy us as patients and that they are sorry about the confusion with the desk. We even get our prescriptions through them.

When they switched receptionist, most recently, there was confusion with whether or not one of our pets were established and so they charged us an amount and then told us we owed more after little confusions like that and then telling us that we’re wrong for asking for clarification. Head warning. Not for the lighthearted or mentally disabled. I’m sure they’ll come back with an answer, but I think it’s important to share that we feel backhanded and that they decided to “stop seeing us as patients”. Amazing to think that I had been signed up for life with these people to have them just shove us out when we stuttered at the desk. Good luck Dr. Nick! Dr. Buckton - you hurt us and when I recently brought ringo for a bloat assessment you made us both shake with your approach and movements. Hectic experience. Was smoother at animal emergency hospital in Reno. Not patient centric. Pretty sure the only day you wanna leave the vet crying is the day they declare your animal passed away not over the front desk experience. Other people don’t get mad when I stutter. It’s true that not everyone is for everyone, but it’s a shame to see a medical practitioner not able to meet a person where they’re at.
