My family's experience at Butler Veterinary Hospital has been - well, there really aren't even words to describe how meaningful the relationships we've built with Dr. Garro and her staff have been.

When we first moved to the area and didn't have a vet, one of our three dogs became very sick. We called around and Dr. Garro was the only one who could see us on the same day. It was a hard day, and we lost our little boy. But Dr. Garro was so loving and kind and supportive throughout the process, that we knew - even after that first hard experience - she was our vet.

For the next several years, we brought our other two boys. As they grew older and developed health problems of their own, Dr. Garro expertly guided us through treatment plans, always providing numerous options based on the level of aggressive or palliative treatment plans we felt were best at any given time. She was also always willing to refer us to specialists outside her practice whenever she felt it was warranted.

We were in and out of the office a lot through those years, and in short, Dr. Garro and her staff became a part of our extended family.

Eventually, our two remaining boys succumbed to their diseases, and again, Dr. Garro and her staff supported us and loved us through the whole process. They helped to take an impossibly difficult situation and - not make it better - but guide us in a way that we were able to bear it.

Now, about 9 months ago, we got a new little pup in our family, and once again, Dr. Garro was our first visit. We actually made the appointment with her BEFORE picking up our new family member! We knew that that was where we wanted our pup's healthcare to be centered.

I would whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Garro and her staff to ANYONE. In fact - I have recommended them to many people. There simply isn't better, more professional and more compassionate care available for our family.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Garro and the staff at Butler Veterinary Hospital. My wife and I have been with Dr. Garro since she’s been in Butler for over 15 years. Every single dog that my wife and I have had Dr. Garro has taken care of them with nothing but love and respect until the very end. She is always so compassionate, sympathetic and empathetic at every visit whether it’s a routine check up or a problem visit.
I couldn’t ask for a better person to take care of our babies than Dr. Garro.
I would highly recommend Dr. Garro to my family and friends!

I have 2 dogs and a 19year old cat. Butler Vet cares for all of them. They are super efficient, caring and knowledgeable. The vets are always available for us. Great Place for pets!

I couldn’t say enough to express how amazing this crew is. I called with an emergency, they made room for our baby and took the best care of our Stella. Our cat. She is doing great. Dr. Garro and her crew are simply the best. From the phone call, to the reception, to the clinical crew. Just amazing. Bring your fur babies there and they will be treated so well. There’s always a wait, either in the waiting room or in the exam room. I’m slightly uncomfortable with the fact that they want me to drug my dog the night before and morning of his appointments to get his nails trimmed. He’s always super excited and apparently he head butted a vet tech so now they want him drugged and I just don’t know how I feel about that. The staff is usually very friendly which is always good.Trying to get a few back invoices from the staff to fill out a rebate for (heart worm meds / flea & tick meds) has been a nightmare. I needed two invoices prior to our last appointment, I was sent only one for the appointment we just had and have the invoice for. I guess I’ll have to go in-person to get the proper paperwork.

I started to bring my dog Smokey Here over the last year to year in a half after having some bad experiences with other vets in the area . Since I Live right around the corner from this place I figured to try here and see how it goes. I only had pleasant experiences/ Visits here until The one time and final time at that I should say I did not have a great experience. My dog (Fur Baby) had an emergency where he had two seizures in one hour and started foaming from the mouth . He was paralyzed and I was in a state of panic and rushed my dog to this animal hospital trying to get him seen. Upon arrival I was met with two women who were at the front desk and told me my dog had to wait THREE HOURS to be seen by one of their vets because they were booked and one of the veterinarian's was not in . I could. it believe the response i got when they seen the dire state my dog was in. I asked them if they could squeeze us in this is an emergency and they continued to tell me to wait the three hours or go to the emergency vet. The time I spent driving around trying to find an emergency vet to save my dogs life could have made a better outcome for my dogs survival. The two women ignored my dogs cries for help in the office and even rolled their eyes as my dogs cries were an inconvenience to them and it was disturbing them . From there I had to drive around with my DYING dog in the car trying to find an emergency vet for him to be seen. I had to ultimately put my dog to sleep. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life .
MY Dog mattered just as much as all the the other pets there .They didn't give me any kind of respect or compassion whatsoever . I do not recommend anyone taking their pets to this office . They do not give two shits about anyone . The women who were at the front desk that day should be ashamed of themselves. their lack of compassion spoke volumes. I was at this vet more in the last few months than anywhere else . I am absolutely devastated to my core that this happened.

Dr. Garro and her entire staff have been incredible to us and our pups.

They were there for us through the super hard times. They have also showed abundant love and care to our dogs through the good times and the bad. Our boys are always excited to visit because they know they will be getting all the attention from their Aunt Dawn and favorite vet techs.

Don't know what we would have done without them for the past 7 years.
