After having a terrible experience with Just For Paws, this fear free vet clinic helped my dog gain confidence at a vet appointment again. They were so patient and kind with him and really helped ease my mind as well. I won’t be going anywhere else after this. They also have classes to help your dog feel more comfortable at the vet. What a bonus.!

Even though I haven't had to take all of my current fur babies here for treatment (thankfully) I had to make a visit for my oldest pup for some age-related issues. Have also taken other pets here over the years, so that obviously tells you we trust the vets and staff! Staff immediately made an appointment (within a day) spent ample time with my pup, gave a comprehensive diagnosis, and some medication that helped immensely. Then, followed up with a phone call about a week later to check on my pooch.

I would recommend this vet, and have been coming here for years with my two cats. I'm sad that I've moved away and had to change vets. I have worked with all four doctors at this practice.

I've had the least experience with Dr. Renehan, but he was very caring about my black cat who had a URI in late 2023. Dr. Renehan explained clearly what he wanted to do and what he was looking for, and followed up after treatment.

Dr.s Naturman, O'Neal, and Hirshan all worked with my red cat at various stages of his nasal cancer early 2024. Dr. Naturman took a cautious approach when we thought it was an infection, but explained that it could be cancer if he didn't respond to treatment. Dr. O'Neal saw him next and performed a variety of tests to determine other causes of bloody noses, until we settled on the nasal cancer diagnosis. She was very responsive to me when I had questions and concerns during my cat's treatment until we finally had to say goodbye. Dr. Hirshan had seen my red cat years prior at annual physicals and was ultimately the one to euthanize him. She took such good care of him and us as we said goodbye. She was so compassionate and explained to us what she was going to do, and let us stay with him for as long as we wanted after he was gone.

Dr. Naturman also took care of my black cat during his dental in 2024, she did an amazing job with him during recovery when he wasn't healing as quickly as expected.

Now, my black cat isn't doing well, and I really appreciate the responsiveness of Chatfield Vet while I was in limbo waiting to be seen at my new vet office. Dr. Hirshan was really helpful with recommendations for him until I was able to be seen and pursue treatment locally.

Wonderful experience over the years with our dogs. Very professional and caring and the vets pay attention to detail. Highly recommend for end of life care for your pet. They were very compassionate and explained everything that was going on.

Chatfield Doggie Daycare was initially very helpful when we requested their services. My dog was reactive and they held a trial and were very responsive towards our needs.

However, my dog was bit during daycare one day and they did not even notice until he was bleeding. They took him in to get his wound cleaned and said that he was fine. We didn’t realize the extent of his injuries till we picked him up. The staff were very understanding when we expressed our concern and said they’d set up a time for us to chat with the manager.

The next day, the manager called us and was completely unrepentant. She lacked any empathy for our situation. When we tried to express our frustration about how this could set our reactive dog back in his trust for other dogs, she basically spouted a general ‘cover your ass’ type of statement. We asked if we could get in contact with the other dog owner, or if we could get the vet treatment comped but was met with no to all of our requests. We weren’t being mean or demanding, but it seemed like the manager did not want to speak to us at all and made us feel like our dog being bitten wasn’t worth her time.

Eventually they said they could refund the rest of the stamp card that we did not use, and they’d let us think about it. Some months later I reached back out and said we didn’t see ourselves returning and asked for a refund. They said they’d work on getting our refund and call us back. I never heard back from them and called again recently. Then they said that the time had expired for us to get a refund- even though they never mentioned a deadline for when we had to make a decision.

Anyone with a reactive dog knows how hard it is to manage, and knows how much work it takes to help their dogs feel comfortable and safe around other dogs. Unfortunately, we did not feel like our situation was respected by Chatfield. We know there are great staff at the hospital, but this experience was so upsetting that we would not recommend the daycare to anyone.

I’m very disappointed in this business. I’ve been coming here for 3 years and yesterday’s appointment was the worst. I got there 10 min prior to my appointment. One receptionist was on the phone and the other was helping a gentlemen. He sees me walk in. I sit down and when he’s finishing helping the guy, he sits down and pretends I’m not there. At that point, I stand up and tell him I have an appointment for my dog at 3:30pm. I was never greeted.

While waiting to get taken back, there were two kids screaming and coming in and out of the lobby. My dog has severe anxiety and was shaking at all the commotion. He was already feeling anxious after learning he’s at the vet. My dog didn’t get taken back until 3:45pm. The assistant was very nice but started offering a heart worm test. I let her know money is tight and I was there because of the promo to get $25 off the exam + $25 off one vaccine. She gave me the total cost of $105. She said the exam is $86 for the exam+$32 for one shot+37 for another shot=$155. She said the promo will give $50 off= $105. Keep in mind when I called in to schedule the appointment, I specifically asked if it was $25 of the exam and $25 off the vaccine and the lady confirmed that was correct and we talked about how great of a deal that was. The vet was extremely professional and courteous and thoroughly explained everything to me. I let her know I was interested in a dental cleaning and will eventually get him neutered. I also said I will schedule the heart worm test in the next month.

When I go to pay, the receptionist said it was $130. I was in a hurry to get out of there and paid, then realized that was higher than what I was quoted. I have her read the email explaining the discounts and she said I only get one. Some lady behind her rudely interrupted and started telling me I was wrong and it’s only one discount of $25. We go back and forth and she continually keeps saying I’m wrong. At that point, I was fed up and asked for a manager and she said she was one. I asked for the owners information and she refused to provide it. She lacked any sort of compassion or empathy. Immediately just kept saying no and I truly felt like she was talking down to me. I left completely upset and said I wouldn’t be back. I looked at your website and her name is Dominique. It’s a shame that I was completely lied to twice and that you lost a customer. The least she could have done was explain that the wording in the flyer is confusing. I honestly would’ve accepted that. I had already paid the $130. I attached the promotion directly from the website and highlighted the part were I thought it was plus, which means in addition. If the plus said with, then it would make more sense.

After reading some of these other reviews, I completely understand where they are coming from. You have rude staff and are overpriced. The yearly exams increase in cost and promotions are misleading. Future clients beware.

The office manager replied to my message but she’s not telling the truth and should be ashamed at herself for lying. She’ll have to live with that. In fact, she just lied because the response says from the owner and you can tell it’s her replying. Feedback is a gift! You’re welcome ?

They were amazing through the good times and the bad. I had to put my cat down in April, they were sympathetic throughout the whole process. My Dog Duke who was a frequent flyer at the vet with lots of diabetic tests, passed a few weeks ago unexpectedly. They were right there and took great care of us through that process. Came into drop of some donations that I no longer need and Dara a great Ver Tech was there with a hug. Dr O’Neal and Naturmann are the ones I worked with the most over this last year but they are all great. Front desk staff always took great care of us. All the Techs were great too, took great care of my baby every time he had to spend the day at the vet for tests. Got a beautiful sympathy card signed by doctors, vet techs and front staff yesterday and the compassion and sympathy was amazing! When the time is right and I get new fur babies, there is nowhere else I will take them.

Very knowledgeable doctor. Spent a good deal of time talking to us about our pup's luxating patella issue, including recommendations and possible joint supplements to help. We have had other pets treated at Chatfield, including an old family dog that we had to put to sleep. They are caring and compassionate. We've always been treated good, and have no complaints!
