So much love and compassion shown to us and our little brown boxer. We arrived at 1 am on Friday Nov 15.... Our little boxer was not doing well.... We were met by 2 great guys at the reception desk.... They took our dog back and we were greeted by Dr Misty Walsh in the exam room.. Due to the terminal condition of our little girl we had to make the hard decision to let her go.... Dr Walsh was so compassionate and caring through this process, checking on us every 10 min to make sure we were okay... She gave us all the time we wanted to say goodbye.... When the time came to let our girl go, Dr Walsh hugged and kissed our dog like she was her dog too... She truly loves animals to show so much care for a dog and owners she never met before this night... After our little girl went to sleep, Dr Walsh sat on the floor with us and hugged my wife and daughter as they were overcome with grief..... Dr Walsh let us stay with our dog as long as we wanted....
I would like to say that this young lady was so incredible with our dog and all of us.... A true lover of animals.... She is truly 1 in a million.... Many thanks to her helping to soften the pain of letting our little boxer go... She gives me hope in humanity that there are still good people in the world.

I am very pleased with the attention and care that I received from the staff at this facility! It was warm and inviting, the staff were absolutely amazing and it is because of them my dog is still alive today! Dr. Abbott literally saved my dog's life when no one else was willing to help. The front staff were amazing and friendly and the facility was very clean! I will always recommend them to anyone needing high quality care!

Pets in general, I don't think have had better care. I'm greatful. My pup has addisons, they were able to diagnose and treat her during a crisis. This requires life long treatment, and the staff has been able to help me adjust, and improve not only her quality of life but mine as well. Truly thank God for this place and it's caring people. It's obvious to me, each person that's works here, has a drive to be the best for our furry kids. . .

Friendly staff, attentive and efficient. They have separate sick and well clinic areas which is appreciated. Most thoughtfully, they have a candle in their lobby they will light if someone is putting a pet down so everyone can be aware. As someone who went through that experience at a vet without this extra touch, I think it shows great compassion and mindfulness for their clients.

I had to take my dog who had an eye injury to this emergency clinic. My dog is an American Bully and was nervous and hurt so he barked in the waiting room until they took him back. The doctor would barely come in the room and suggested putting him to sleep. I refused and asked if he could just be muzzled. She gave me a lot of attitude and basically threw a muzzle at me and said if you can get it on him. I put it on without any trouble and she was able to examine him. She told me if he so much as flinched at her he was going under or we had to leave. He never did and sat there quietly with his muzzle on in pain and she abruptly squirted a liquid into his injured eye. The disrespect, attitude, and terrible treatment we experienced nobody should have to go through when already dealing with an injured pet. The vet tech was kind but not the doctor or the initial staff that did our intake. I know it was annoying my dog was barking, however he was injured and was completely out of his element.

Absolutely wonderful experience. They were kind from beginning to end. We were nicely greeted. The vet tech even made sure that our dog's name was spelled and pronounced correctly. The vet was wonderful, thorough, and attentive. The reception when we checked out and paid was great as well. I would not hesitate to return.

I cannot say enough good things about Cheat Lake Vet hospital! My dog of 15 years had trouble walking and it seemed as if his whole right side from front to back was paralyzed. So my vet suggested we take him to Cheat Lake Vet hospital since they would be able to thoroughly check him out and help him. We drove 45 minutes to get there and the staff was just amazing! They took our beloved Blair to the back and did their assessment. Dr. Becca was his vet and she was simply amazing. They didn't do anything unless they talked with us first. Dr. Becca with so much respect, compassion, and dignity talked with us about what was going on with Blair. She sat with us and talked with us with no care in the world how long it was taking. She shared her opinions and her extremely intelligent knowledge on what Blair's needs would be. With the heaviest heart, we had decided to put him down. Dr. Becca was absolutely caring and treated my boy with the most respectful manner I ever seen. Because of her and the time she took with us to decide to do what is best for our beloved Blair, we feel some peace now that he is running like a pup full of energy across the rainbow bridge. We had 15 great years with him and he was so spoiled and loved that he is going to be missed so much, but we know we did the right thing. Thank you so much for what you did for us that day, your thoughtfulness and respect will never be forgotten. I absolutely recommend everyone to go there no matter what needs you have for your pets. I know I will go there in a heartbeat if I should need them for Blair's brothers he left behind. His brothers Buddy and Pickett are lost without him as we are too.
