Took us in on a short notice. This is our practice for our pet but not our repeated Vet. We saw Dr. McCollum and she was impressive. We came in as an ER for our dog Willow who was yelping in intense pain. We had no idea what was wrong but rushed her to the clinic and everyone was very attentive to her needs. Dr. McCollum examined Willow and knew it was her neck. She didn't try to Nickle and dime us either. She knew what was wrong and believed in it. She treated Willow with pain management and gave us further instructions of 48 hours to be attentive to her. She was thoroughly and never once felt in a hurry to leave the room. She was with compassion but also direct and straightforward. We appreciated the confidence and would highly recommend. The front staff was very professional and friendly, the assistance and entire vet crew. Thank you kindly for your genuine care. Willow was back to herself within 24 hours.

I love them. I’ve been taking my dogs to them for a few years. One of my dogs is older and the doctor always takes his time with him and explaining what’s going on with my dog.
Their appointment availability is great. They usually able to get us in the same day or within 24hrs.

Cheyenne West Animal Hospital was my best veterinarian experience in the city. All technicians were super sweet, knowledgeable and understanding. And Dr. Cordray did an amazing job working with my dog. My dog doesn’t trust people quickly, but by the end of our appointment my schnauzer respected and trusted Dr. Cordray. I was very impressed. Also, Dr. Cordray’s knowledge and explanation of my dog’s lipomas was very thorough. I came in pretty stressed but left feeling well taken care of. I highly recommend this clinic to all friends, family, and strangers on the internet. (Also the stained glass windows in the waiting room are so cute.)

I own two dogs. and I've taken one of them to Cheyenne West for care on several occasions. Recently, my other dog injured her foot at night, so I took her to Cheyenne West Animal HOSPITAL the next day to have it checked out. There were two women at the reception desk, and no one was in the waiting area. I explained what happened, but they told me they would only see her by appointment. I actually couldn't believe that no one was going to examine my dog and I looked at them in disbelief. They both sat there like two robots with blank looks on their faces. I told them that their policy obviously is set up to discourage people from bringing their animals there. They said the policy was set by their corporate office. Policy or not, what kind of ANIMAL HOSPITAL turns away an injured animal I called Sun City Animal Hospital and they were able to tend to my dog that day. Needless-to-say, I will not be using Cheyenne West Animal Hospital any more.

Been going here since 2007. The doctors are good, but the CORPORATION that now runs this place are thieves. Mystery charges like the $9.98 fee for "Office Support". We asked for a "Nail Trim" and got slammed $29, after just paying $72 for a wellness check. The staff are good, just doing what they are told to do. The problem, CAN"T TRUST THEM any longer. They are understaffed (Horribly) and the system is rigged to pump $$$$ out of you.Sorry for the truthful review, but this place just is NOT like it used to be when Dr. Hewett ran it. And please stop jamming this "Thrive" membership down our throats. If we had a sickly/high maintenance animal I could see it. But for the healthy pet it's a ripoff.

Good bedside manner, very sweet with my dog. We have loved this practice-always easy to get in to and they’ve been great for vaccinations, but don’t think we’ll return to this particular vet when something is actually wrong. I found they have zero respect for the cost they ask. My dog had eaten a piece of chew toy, and seemed to have vomited or passed all the pieces, but had been slightly cut in the process, poor guy. He was still bouncing around and playing, but I came in for antibiotics to help avoid infection him as his bottom healed.

The dr said he had abdominal pain (which I hadn’t found before or since), ran several pricey tests, including expensive X-rays that showed nothing-knowing my dog had eaten breakfast that morning (and knowing that the chew toy he had eaten part of, which brought me in, was plastic and would not show up like a metal object, so the likelihood of detecting anything was low). So no surprise that nothing turned up. THEN knowing they hadn’t seen any intestinal blockages but there was a full stomach (do duh) she told me to fast him for a night so I could come in for ANOTHER expensive xray in the morning (close to 400$/pop) They also said the next step was IV fluids and ANOTHER xray (remembering the bits of toy are still not metal) . All this to see if he needed a surgery that I couldn’t have afforded now anyway because the initial one-day treatment had cost so much.

When I told them the cost was not feasible, instead of giving me “if it were me and I had your budget, I would prioritize X, Y, and Z”, I just got stared at or told how many thousands of dollars they had been willing to spend on their own pets. I wish I could tell you money’s no object and we all have thousands of dollars to help our pets, but most of us don’t.

To top it off, several hours later when they called at the end of the day, I asked how my dog was and instead of “he’s ready for you to come pick him up” I got an ominous “she’d like you to come back in to talk”. So I drove back a weepy mess thinking something they’d found that day was awful. Nope! He’s fine. I came in for fluids or an antibiotic or a cream to help his exit wounds and instead got taken for a very pricey, emotional ride and then got some antibiotics for the road 🤦🏼‍♀️.

The Service is Excellent! But not Happy about the Enormous Increase in Fees!!! Just went in for an Allergy Shot (Cytopoint Injection), and the Cost increased 60% from the Previous Visit in July!~
So Unfortunately, I'm shopping around for a more reasonable price.
