The doctor was kind enough to give me an appointment when my vet was unable (due to an emergency) to complete the required forms for my dog travel.

Dr. Maida, Dr. Izen, the vet techs, and the receptionists are all amazing!! We’ve been bringing our baby here for years and the care is unmatched. We are always greeted with a smile and they take the best care of our chihuahua pomeranian. We’ve had times where we needed to bring our pup in the same day and they accommodated us right away. The doctors are very kind and honest which is hard to find sometimes in my experience. Thank you all so much for the amazing care you provide our beloved baby! 🤍

What an amazing Veterinary Practice! We brought our new puppy to see Dr. Maida last week for a puppy exam and to discuss vaccines and her general health. He did a thorough exam on her and told us we can bring her back this week for her booster vaccine and a checkup. She had her booster vaccine today and while we were checking out she threw up. Dr. Maida and his staff jumped into immediate action assessing little girl and confirming she was having an anaphylaxis reaction due to the vaccine. They immediately treated her with steroids and fluids and monitored her until she was stable and ready to go home. They continued to check on her and us and answered every question we had with compassion, kindness and understanding. We were both extremely nervous as we had never seen this happen and she is a tiny 2lb 12 week old puppy.

Emergency aside, Dr. Maida is an extremely knowledgeable and patient vet who answered every single one of our questions about our new pup and helped us make appropriate decisions regarding her care. The office and exam rooms are clean and all of the staff are kind and welcoming. I have never felt so comfortable with a Veterinarian and if you live in the area, they are worth a visit for your pet.

Was really astounded by the care my cat received at Closter Animal Hospital. Dr. Izen fully spent 30 minutes patiently answering my many questions, examining my pet and discussing treatment options with me--it's very clear he cares a lot about what he does and has a wealth of veterinary wisdom. The front desk staff members are absolutely lovely--so warm and welcoming, and extremely professional. Would definitely recommend the office to anyone seeking exceptional veterinary care in the area.

The receptionists are super friendly and thorough. And the Vet, and Vet Tech were great. I love this place. Brought my dog here because he wasn't eating and he had kennel cough. They gave me an appointment for the same day and they were so gentle with my baby. Great place to take your pets if they need medical attention.

I came to this vet a year ago when my dog was dying highly recommended by a friend they took good care of my ginger and help me quietly put her to sleep

Other than that this place is a scam stay away!!
They refuse to work with Chewy to fill your prescriptions. my golden has been on medication for allergies for a year. He’s well aware of it spoke to him about it, and he agrees that that’s the corse of treatment. However he will only fill the script one month at a time so I would have to drive 25 minutes to pick up the script to then mail it to chewy which takes 14 days to process. The script should’ve been marked available for refill for one year I get maybe once a year check up.

In addition, he needed an anabiotic and clearly noted it to Mark as brand only there would be nothing wrong with the generic, which is more than half the price

They do all of this to make you and force you to get the prescriptions from them. My two prescriptions for only 14 days worth was $140. It wouldn’t of cost me even 100 to fill the 30 days worth from chewy.
Now I have to start all over again by paying a new vet for an initial consultation.
