You cannot find a better orthopedic vet surgeon than Dr. Kirsch. My dog has had two surgeries, on each of her hind legs. He is caring and his staff is great. Recovery and rehab instructions are clear and concise, and there are follow-up visits to make sure healing is good.

Dr. Kirsch is a very compassionate and caring Veterinary Surgeon. I was given another referral by my Vet and he was not to my liking. I work in healthcare and know a good Surgeon when I meet them, but I also want them to have a caring manner. I had previously searched high and low on the internet for the best for my fur baby and I found him right here.
Everyone was so kind and caring to me and my fur baby. Pricing was very similar from the other Surgeon, but it did not include any aftercare. The other one was expecting me to get my fur baby within 2 hours upon completion of the procedure, Yeah NO.
Here they keep your pet overnight to monitor them and keep them comfortable. Dr Kirsch calls you himself to give you a good report of how everything went. You can call in during business hours and check on your fur baby too. Very reassuring.
Needless to say this is top notch care and I hope never to need it again, but if I do I will be back! I Highly recommend Dr Kirsch and his caring staff.

Thank you to Dr. Kirsch for performing the TPLO on my dog Sully's knee back in January. At 8 weeks he got a follow up appointment and x-rays to confirm that he is healing nicely and ready for longer walks and more play time. He gave us a lot of knowledge on the subject and advice for recovery. The office is clean, beautiful, and the staff is kind. Getting a plate and screws put in along with he incision scar is a bit scary too, but with his relaxed approach to recovery he put us at ease.

Dr. Kirsh and his team took great care of Oliver, with his 2nd TPLO surgery this July. Dr. Kirsh performed his first TPLO a year ago, and unfortunately he needed the other knee repaired almost exactly one year later. We couldn’t be happier with his recovery and he is back to his favorite activity, frisbee in the pool!

We brought our dog Nelly who had a really bad knee. We meet Dr Kirsh Nelly went right up to him and she felt very comfortable with him. The surgery was flawless we truly can’t thank Dr Kirsh enough our Nelly is on the mend and can move around again. He also did a great job explaining everything so we were well informed of what to expect! Highly recommend him!!

Today marks 3 years since our rottweiler Daisy had TPLO surgery and a meniscal repair by Dr. Kirsch. She has recovered beautifully, and at almost 9 years young is walking 2 miles a day with me, and is back to all her mischievous antics. We couldn't be more grateful for Dr. Kirsch and his incredible team as they gave her (and us!) the gift of mobility after a complete CCL tear and injury to her meniscus. My husband & l had the privilege of meeting Dr. Kirsch 3 years ago when our Maltese, Augy was suffering greatly from what we had been told by our vet was not cancer. Because our vet had cared for our Maltese for approximately 4 years we believed her when she stated on 3 separate occasions that Augy did not have cancer. For the record, our vet was an oncology & internal medicine specialist plus a diplomat.Finally with the growth on Augy's face twice what it was after l returned from a trip to visit the grandchildren l knew my husband was right. He had researched & kept telling me it was cancer but our diplomat vet said no. I was frantic who should l call? After searching the internet, to my surprise & delight there was a specialist & diplomat vet in Nokomis. I was crying the day l called Dr. Kirsch's office because l was really frightened that we had waited too long to get the needed care for Augy. From the moment the receptionist answered the phone until we took Augy home after surgery, our experience with Dr. Kirsch & staff was absolutely top notch. Dr. Kirsch besides being an excellently trained surgeon & highly intelligent, is one of the kindest, most compassionate vets we have ever had the privilege to know. Dr. Kirsch gave us one more wonderful year with our beloved Augy & we are forever grateful to him & his amazing staff.
