This review is way overdue. Buckle up, it's a long one!

We began bringing our two dogs to Companion Animal Hospital of Wakefield when we moved to the Raleigh area in 2020. We have been absolutely thrilled with the care they have received from Drs. Jennifer, Chris, and Albrecht in that time.

Dr. Jennifer is the primary provider we see. She is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and involves you, as the owner, at all stages of your pet's treatment plan.

It's obvious that every veterinary technician here has a passion for animals and is trained in fear free techniques. We have Chihuahuas, and even they seem to have less fear around the staff here.

The front desk staff is top notch as well. They are all kind, professional, patient, and quick to help with anything you might need. Scheduling is usually a breeze!

Sadly, one of our dogs was diagnosed with cancer twice in the time that we've been with Companion. The work between Companion and the oncology team was collaborative and seamless. We ultimately had to say goodbye to him earlier this year, but the exceptional care he received when he needed it most, at both Companion and their preferred oncology service, helped us gain an extra 4 years with him.

I would absolutely recommend Companion Animal Hospital of Wakefield for anyone looking to provide their pets with high quality, compassionate care in the Raleigh/Wake Forest area. The importance and value of the services they provide cannot be overstated. I'm SO grateful to have them as part of our pets' lives!

My dog is generally very nervous at the vet but Dr Albrecht has been extremely understanding and helpful to my dog. Not only has the care been good. They also have done a great job of trying to make Winston more comfortable.

Dr. Chris is a kind, caring, thorough vet who is knowledgeable and provides state-of-the art veterinary care. The entire staff is professional and welcoming. We relocated to this area temporarily, and one of the hardest parts of moving was having to leave this veterinary practice behind. Dr. Chris and his staff set the bar so high I doubt I'll ever find another practice that compares. Highly recommend!

I have an anxious male German Shepherd and the whole staff made it so much easier when bringing him in for a surgery and multiple follow-up visits.
