The only negative I can think of is that I didn't find them sooner, so I could have taken my other two furbabies there too. If I could give them 100 stars, I would find 500 more to give.

The team at CAVA...where do I begin? Phenomenally patient and compassionate. Knowledgeable and very willing to explain everything in a way that is understandable. I am a questions queen, especially when it comes to my furbabies, my loves and they professionally, patiently, and respectfully answer every last one of them. (A couple times, I went in with notes to remember all my questions. They may have giggled, though probably not, but they stood there answering each one)

I love that I walk into their office and I know they are going to take such good care of all of us. When they wrote on their bios that they love their patients....those aren't just words--every one of their actions demonstrates exactly that. Even the spicy kitties who have alllllll the opinions.

I would give them a 100 stars if I could. Dr. Reimer is absolutely wonderful. She has helped my dog and cats so much and at times last minute. She is knowledgeable and caring and wonderful at acknowledging unspoken needs. Everyone in this office is friendly and compassionate and if your like me do not get annoyed at the hundreds of questions because they understand ❤️ I will continue to use and recommend them to everyone and all that want outstanding holistic care for their pets

We can’t say enough great things about Companion Animal Veterinary Associates! Dr. Hooten is by far the most outstanding veterinarian we’ve ever had. The entire team is not only highly responsive but also genuinely dedicated to the health and happiness of our Yorkie, Winnie. Whether we have questions or need a prescription refill, they’re always quick to respond and take care of everything efficiently. It’s always a pleasure to visit, and we truly believe this is the BEST veterinary practice in the tri-state area. Their well-deserved 5-star reviews reflect the exceptional care they provide. Thank you for setting the bar high and truly separating yourselves from the rest. We wouldn’t trust Winnie with anyone else – you’ve got us as clients for life!

I was a very happy customer for many years, until very recently. They made it very clear that my pets health is not the priority and money is. I can no longer trust that my pets will receive the best care possible here.
I found a kitten and she was in pretty rough shape. We have been able to stabilize most of her issues, but she still has a few barriers that we were working to fix. The next step was to obtain a sample at home, bring it back, and it was going to be sent to a lab to be tested. The next day a sample was made available and it was dropped off. At the time of drop off, payment was not discussed. I assumed it was paid for the previous day at her appointment. Shortly after I did receive a phone call asking if I wanted to pay for it over the phone or if I wanted an invoice sent to my email. I opted for the email. There was never any discussion about when the invoice needed to be paid by. I paid the invoice four hours after it was received. After I paid, I noticed I had a voicemail from them, saying if the invoice wasn’t paid in full before the close of business that day (Saturday) the sample wouldn’t be tested. The office had closed a half hour before I made the payment. I found out Monday morning that the sample was not tested and I was directed to “just provide another.” That’s unacceptable and awful customer service. They wasted my time and they delayed my pets much needed medical care. This was all over a $50 payment that they received, just 30 minutes after their preference. It was paid four hours after they sent the invoice.
This treatment is absolutely ridiculous. I had to put a pet down last month due to cancer. I’m coming to them with another sick pet and they casually delay her care and expect me to be okay with it. Between both sick pets I’ve spent easily over $1,000 within the past month at their practice. They have always received payment. I don’t understand why they would casually and callously deny care because they didn’t receive $50 by a certain time. If there was a deadline for payment, they need to use their words. They never communicated that fact when they spoke to me on the phone.
I was told that they were sorry they didn’t communicate their expectations clearly and offered a phone call to smooth it over. I was not interested. I pulled all of my pets out and I will not be returning. The way they acted is completely unacceptable. My new vet lets you keep a card on file. I’ll never have to worry about this asinine issue ever again.

We took our foundling dog of there yesterday to get checked out. The office is very clean and organized without feeling clinical. Both the tech and vet were wonderful. We are very pleased with the service and how they treated the foundling. This is our first dog since 2020 and our Vet of 25+ years considered us a new client and couldn't schedule us in for 3+ weeks to check the dog. Companion fit us in. They will definitely be our vet.

We travel almost an hour to bring my daughters bearded dragon here! The doctor & staff are all amazing. My daughter panics at the slightest thing & calls or e-mails and always receives a quick & informative response. We have had to take Rascal baby to be seen for a broken toe & recently for a complete loss of appetite. Both visits the doctor & staff were friendly, informative, professional, kind and extremely accommodating. They make sure to have a little heater in the room for him and the facility is super clean so he can run around on the floor to his hearts content & we don't have to worry! They even helped me find exoctic pet insurance when I asked about it! It is going to save my daughter lots of money & it gives her peace of mind knowing she will always be able to afford any of his future medical needs! I'd drive 3 hours to take our pets here!

These folks seemed like they were gonna be a good fit for my chinchillas. They showed what seemed like genuine concern and listened very well.. offered solid explanation of what they thought was going on and gave me a bounty of medications to help with a yeast problem with my dog.. several times. The exact same discourse, my dog would be fine for several weeks and then he would have ear infection again and we would start the whole process over. That was the last straw. I had initially went to this vet because the Dr I had been taking my pets to left the practice she was working at and signed a NDA. I had a Chinchilla that needed regular teeth trims... something I had already been working with the other Dr and knew about how long to expect before needing another teeth trim.. at the old vet it would last 6-7 months before I had to go back for another trim. The first teeth trim lasted a single month before my 13+ year old Chinchilla was drooling and couldn't eat because her tongue was trapped in a cage made by her teeth. I took her back and mentioned that was insane and that the other vets trims lasted much longer. Magically the next teeth trim lasted around the same amount of time. Not long after that the same Chinchilla was showing signs of illness with no outer indication so I took her in they gave me meds and sent us away.. we ran out of those and got some more.. cheers ended up passing away in my own hands because the thing about overgrown teeth is that the roots grow too and while you can control the teeth you can not controll the roots and they grow out of control into places they shouldn't. A true exotic vet would have been able to explain that so that I could make the humane decision to euthanize my pet. This place claims to be an exotic vet but are not. These were the most pressing issues I had with this vet all the while they all have a wonderful demeanor and are seemingly super kind and knowledgeable.

They opened to care for animals, not emergency care, boarding, rehab, etc. I have seen too many vets in the area try to do everything, chase money, and lose the personal service for your fur babies. Not Companion. You see the same doctor. They squeeze in emergencies, very informative and they give you the time you need. Plus they don't push excessive fees. Very happy here.
