My vet was out of office, so my cat saw Dr. Cilla (sp?) She took extensive time with me explaining the results of numerous tests done in the Emergency Room. At the end, I had a much better understanding of my cat's condition, and felt comfortable with next steps pending the outcome of his diabetes test. This office is meticulous and caring.

We made an appointment through Pet Desk and received confirmation. We showed up for our 8:30am appointment at 8:15am and we're told that we are considered inactive and will not be able to be seen. We even showed them the email with the confirmation. No appointment was listed and there must have been a glitch in the system was what we were told. They already had an appointment at this time even though the other person had not shown up as of 8:45am when we left. We were also told we could go to a walk in clinic down the road. We have been going here for several years and to be treated in this way is unacceptable. I find it ironic that we are considered inactive when I am still receiving an email from them every week. When your "babies " are sick or injured you don't want them to be cared for like this. We will not be returning.

We had the best experience bringing our new puppy to Companion Veterinary Care in Skokie. Everyone was so nice, and our whippet pup was never scared or uncomfortable. It was very easy to book an appointment online, and the service was impeccable. In decades of dog ownership, I can honestly say that this was easily my best first-time experience with a new pup at a veterinarian. Dr. Lin and his team are fantastic!

Good service until they performed a biopsy procedure on my cat which had a negative effect on him. He became more lethargic than usual. They tested his blood and said his blood platelet cells were 'slightly low'. But it turned out they were dangerously low and we had to take our cat to the Veterinary Specialty Center in Bannockburn immediately. Thankfully the Veterinary Specialty Center got our cat back to normal. But no one at Companion took accountability for what happened. When my dad called he wanted to speak to the vet but the technician told him he was unavailable (mind you this call was made on a Monday in the middle of the day). The technician told my dad if he needed to speak to the vet directly out of office he would have to pay a $59 call fee (I have never heard of such a thing in my life). And the vet never called my dad back to check on our cat's condition. Very disappointed with their unprofessionalism and will be taking our pets to another animal hospital. This happened about a year ago when we decided to go to another vet for our cats. Veterinary Specialty Center (in Bannockburn) and Winnetka Animal Hospital are much better places to take care of your pets.

Dr. Lin is an excellent veterinarian!. I have trusted his thoughtful care and skilled judgement for many years, for 2 precious dogs! I highly recommend him andI hope the Companion Corporation knows how fortunate they are to have a Dr. of his caliber and sensitivity.
