My husband and I cannot say enough good things about this staff. We have been to many vet offices over the years and I have never felt more cared for. Dr. Chobot is kind and knowledgeable. All the techs and front desk staff are super helpful and pleasant to work with. We will travel for this vet office because we love them so much! Covington Veterinary Hospital is the best in Fort Wayne!

Very nice place. My pitbull gets really excited in new places but they were very patient with her. They made a few accommodations due to her not being a big fan of other dogs. Even with a shot and some blood work we were in and out really fast.

I have to edit this because I feel like too many vets in this city are more concerned with money than animal welfare.
At my dog's last annual (which ran $260.On top of the exam and blood work I was also charged for a fecal test that was never performed) she had some odd sore between her toes that was causing her entire paw to be inflamed. They didn't know what it was... Which struck me as odd.. I've never left a Dr's office myself after being told "I really don't know what that thing is"..... but they said bring her back if it didn't clear up on its own. It did not. I emailed and reminded them of the situation, and asked for that it be checked again. Considering the cost of my prior appointment, the fact they didn't even know what it was, and being told to bring her back.. I didn't think I should have to pay for another full appointment. They were happy to reschedule her of course, but got very evasive when I asked about price. It felt like a used car salesman who insists you have to come to the car lot and THEN they can answer your questions. We tried a couple other places in town but they were either rude or couldn't grasp that my dog doesn't like other dogs. This poor animal STILL has a sore after two months, even though we wash it daily, tried neosporin and low dose ibuprofen. It's obviously not just human health care that's a PITA in America.

Our older cat developed diabetes recently and we took her to Covington for an evaluation after she started exhibiting symptoms. They saw us immediately after we arrived for our appointment. To our very pleasant surprise, there was no lengthy wait in a room crowded with other animals. We walked in and went directly to the exam room. The staff was kind, patient, and attentive. The veterinarian promptly followed up with us with the results of our cat's blood work and explained our options for treatment. Overall, we had a very nice experience and I would highly recommend.

As an aside, I did call two other vets before finding Convington (due to the fact the two appeared first on Google during our online search) and just from the conversations I had with the receptionists at those locations, I feel I was fortunate to have decided on Covington. During the calls with the first two vets, the receptionists were hurried and flustered and all you could hear were the barking of dogs and meowing of cats in the background. In fact, one of the two kept me on hold for 10 minutes and when they did finally take my call, all i heard was banging, hammering, and the sounds of barking dogs. It sounded like madhouse. Thank goodness we didn't go to those two vets and decided to go to Covington, where we were very pleased.

They squeezed me into a Monday appointment for a cat of ours that was acting quite ill. It wound up being the worst case scenario...and we had to lay her to rest. The entire staff, front desk, all the techs, and Dr. Chabot were friendly with us, patient with us, and thorough with us. Despite it being our first ever visit we felt like we'd been life long patients! We and our kitty were very comfortable. They all did a wonderful job.

I have been going here for about 8 years because I had heard many positive things about the clinic as well as Dr. Gupta. I can't say enough about my many experiences. Very kind and helpful with all the info you need, all my questions and I appreciated that SO much. When my 15 yr. Papillon/Pomeranian dog passed, they took care of EVERYTHING, and what they gave me was a shockingly beautiful ornate sealed box, a "death certificate", and a glass mold of her pawprint. I was so pleased to see her appropriately kept. Its a lives in my display cabinet right next to my Brother.
She was the love of my life. If you want to be comfortable and confident about pet care, this is the best place-- above and beyond!! passed away
