We moved into the area about a year and a half ago. Del Norte was close to the house so we went with them to care for our senior lab. My lab had been with us for 14 years and as a military family he’d traveled the world with us. He was a member of the family. I know if you’re reading this then you are a pet lover. So I won’t go into details but we made an emergency trip last week because something was way off with our lab. Ultimately he passed and crossed the rainbow bridge at Del Norte.
Since day one they have been the best Vets and treated my lab like he was the only dog in California. So I knew to run to them in an emergency. Once the staff and doctors realized the severity of our situation, they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They were passionate, empathetic and just amazing considering the circumstances. We were able to stay as long as we needed and even the Vet shed some tears. I’m will whole heartedly recommend this Vet to anyone looking for a staff that cares and Vets that are thorough and professional.
It’s always tough to lose a member of the family, especially a furry one, however ever since we step foot in California for over a year and a half they took great care of my dog, right until the end. I couldn’t imagine going to any other vet, so please check them out I think you and your Pat will love them and they will love your pet right back.

I really love this office. I've been bringing my golden retriever, Jodie, here since she was a pup, and she just absolutely loves everything about this place. Prior to Jodie's arrival, Jenny also loved coming here, and I have always felt that both dogs received the best care from everyone involved.

While I've had the pleasure of meeting all the doctors over the years, Dr. Gillmeister has always been our primary, and I can't say enough nice things about her. She's observant, attentive, kind, and has a wonderful bedside manner. Everyone who works in the front and back have always been very kind as well, so I have no problem always recommending this office where I can.

Was looking for a new Vet and was referred by a friend to Del Norte Animal Hospital. First impressions.....easy parking out front, clean modern facility, Dr and Vet Tech easy to communicate with and very personable. We weren't there for anything complicated but felt they took the time to ask questions and get our history. The two gals sitting at the front desk could benefit from some customer service skills training. Would definitely go back as I liked the Vet and I really wasn't there for the (lack of) interpersonal skills from the front desk help.

I honestly can't believe I've never left a review for Dr Bone and her team. I met Dr Bone during the pandemic with two recently rescued German Shepherds. One of which had a extremely persistent ear infection, which ended up being MRSP. Dr Bone's approach to his infection was a collaborative one from the beginning. We tried many treatments over about nine months. During that time, she reached out to her network to help find creative solutions. And what at the time, seemed like a Hail Mary pass, she found a compounding pharmacy that made a successful treatment that knocked out the infection in three weeks. I will always remember her call to tell me the good news that day. Recently, it came time to put my dog to rest. Dr Bone and her team (just like they always have) took great care of my friend. The love and support we received is hard to put into words. It made a hard day just a little easier. Thank you all for everything you do.

Needless to say, I can definitely recommend Del Norte Animal Hospital from something as simple as a nail trim to more advanced hard to treat cases. They really go the extra mile. I look forward to seeing them every visit.
