I’ve been using Discovery Valley for several years now and drive out of my way to use them. I started using them when my dog needed to get his teeth cleaned. I called them on a whim and made an appointment because they were the only clinic around that I felt wasn’t going to charge me an arm and a leg. I’m from Texas and after learning that Dr. Young is too and went to Texas A&M (often regarded as the best vet school in Texas), I decided to keep using them as my dog’s vet despite having to travel 30-45 minutes each way. Recently, my dog passed away and they were so great though out the entire process. Dr. Young was on vacation and this was my first time interacting with the other vet at the clinic, Dr. Laemmle. It was clear how much she cared. Losing a pet is so hard and she and the entire staff at Discovery Valley were so great and sweet to my boy Kramer on his last day. They are fair on pricing, their new facility is so nice, and they clearly know what they are doing. I couldn’t recommend them more!

Dr. Jessica Laemmle is the most attentive and compassionate veterinarian I have ever taken my pets to. She gives her undivided attention to each patient and ensures the animal and pet parent are both comforted during the vet visit. I have worked alongside vets, and been to many vets in the past and she stands out from the rest. I highly recommend her and the veterinary hospital to anyone looking to find a vet for their furry ( feather and scales too) friends!!

Very compassionate and kind. On the phone Heather worked to get us in quickly and Dr Young was knowledgeable and compassionate helping us through a rough diagnosis with our bearded dragon. I cannot recommend this pet hospital enough. I am so thankful for the excellent service I received.

It was difficult to find a veterinarian in North County that would see my pet rat but the receptionist on the phone was very kind and helpful and made an appointment for the day after I called. Dr. Young was great and helped me figure out treatments for my rats’ health issues in no time!

Owners of elderly dog who has had multiple problems over the past year. The main vet is great but the staff is subpar. One of them told us today that they need to stop seeing our dog so often. We will look for a new vet now that we know our business isn’t wanted and there is no genuine concern for the animals they dealing with. Don’t take people’s money and time, and tell them post appointment that it’s an issue. At least have the courage to say it to our faces.

Dr Young takes great care of our dogs, 14 and 2 years old. He calls at the end of day after test and explains everything thoroughly and honestly. Thankful for the options and keeping our old Yellow Lab happy. He now gets his monthly arthritis shots and lives ok with his ACL issue! He has also treated my daughters Leopard Geckos! Thanks Dr Young.

Dr. Lee has been the veterinarian for many of my animals over +10 years. After several years, I realized his care is of the bare minimum. He is not updated on modern treatment methods, and it shows. Leading to animals worsening in their conditions if his guess isnt correct. If he is still treating birds too, you are better off with an actual Avian Veterinarian Association registered veterinarian!

I came in for a dental appointment for my dog, and it was very cut and dry, no upselling & unnecessary lab work. 100% recommend Dr Young.
