I cannot say enough amazing things about the entire team from office emergency staff the the equine Vets that came to the aid in an emergency situation and were so understanding professional yet the comfort and ease i was given being that i am 100%completely new to the hprse world. Being a professional canine behaviorist i was completely not prepared for what the horse world was involving. This team of professionals is and will always be the only way to go.
My hat my heart and true gratitue goes to this team Hooch and i will forever be greatful.

I was truly impressed with how accommodating and nice everyone was at ECLAP. When my long time Vet was out of town and ECLAP was their back up, I was able to call about a situation and although it would be weeks before they could come to my ranch, I was able to secure an appointment for just a couple days away. I trailered my horse to their facility and was treated for the non emergency issue. My experience was wonderful with the knowledgeable, efficient and friendly staff. Dr Blanche was great
Thank you for your care and ability to put an animal owner's mind at ease.

Dr. Harlan and the staff were very kind and compassionate when we had to take our 15yr old dog to them to say our last goodbye. It was a difficult day but they were very nice and explained everything before easing her into her last moments. ECLAP has been there for us when we needed kindness and we appreciate you all very much. Thank you for making a rough day a little easier with your wonderful vets and staff.

I don't why it is but my dog goes off with the doctor at ECLAP like she's going on a lark. The doctors and attendants have good bedside manners and I've yet to feel like we were being rushed out the door. And if you have to wait they have a pleasant sitting area outside. ECLAP is a ways away, unlike our former vet, but the drive is worth it. Also, ECLAP isn't as expensive as our former vet.
I have a theory....it may be the odor of death and chemicals that dogs don't like at vets as the reason they are fearful of going there. ECLAP is an open-air structure where it's ventilated naturally so that odor, if present, wouldn't linger.

I've waited a few months to write this, partly because it was too painful to do sooner and partly to make sure I offered a measured review. My mother's beloved pet Lewis, a potbelly pig, died after receiving treatment from ECLAP and I believe his death could have been avoided through more careful practice on ECLAP's part.

I arranged for Lewis to be neutered on site at my mother's property. I was warned by ECLAP that sedating him during the heat of the summer could be risky; however, given our particular situation, which I won't go into here, I felt we had no choice and so we proceeded with the sedation. The procedure took a turn for the worse and so, with counsel from the vets, I decided to have them reverse the sedation and not proceed with the neuter. I was shocked when the vets then told me that another local veterinary service offered an air-conditioned mobile van where it would be much safer to conduct the procedure. Why on earth wouldn't they have told me that before subjecting Lewis to the dangerous sedation?

Thankfully, though Lewis was extremely groggy and lethargic, he did begin to recover and walk around, and I checked on him regularly over the next few hours. To my horror, the final time I checked on him, I found him incapacitated with labored breathing, and saw he had been attacked, presumably by the other male pigs who took advantage of his weakened state. He died from his injuries later that night. It was gut-wrenching to lose him in such a brutal way and I feel terrible for the role I played in the death of my mom's pet. When I informed the vet about what happened, she didn't seem surprised and merely said she didn't expect that the other male pigs would be a problem given the amount of space they had. In other words, she was familiar with male pig behavior but didn't think to suggest that Lewis be separated from the other animals, which I easily could have done.

There were two critical moments when ECLAP could have provided guidance that would have avoided Lewis' death, and they failed to provide that information. We are so saddened at his loss and I only hope the clinic will provide more careful treatment to others' pets / animals.

The staff is always sweet and patient! Great place to take you pups I took my pup Leonidas to get his toenails trimmed. He is 13 years young, and does not like his feet touched. The staff took him back to a room, brought him out 10-15 minutes later, and my boy had a smile on his face. The staff member said he did great. Thanks for the patience and love you show the animals!
